COLLEGE PROFILE

Located near Bangalore, Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology is an engineering college founded by Sri Channabasaveshwara Swamy Rural Education Society. The college was established in 2000. Approved by All India Council of Technical Education, the college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. The college offers various courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level.

The institute offers all the modern facilities to the students including a well-maintained library, transportation facilities, auditorium, spacious classrooms, seminar halls and conference rooms. The campus is fully residential with hostel facilities for all the students.

All the admissions are strictly merit-based. The students need to qualify the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Entrance Exam to secure admission in the undergraduate courses. For postgraduate courses, The qualifying exam is PGCET/GATE (for engineering courses), PGCET/KMAT/MAT (for management courses).

The college has a dedicated training and placement cell to help students secure decent jobs. Various companies like Infosys, Tata communications, Razor Think etc. visit the campus every year to recruit the students for various job profiles.

How to Apply

The admission process is as follows:

Online mode

Candidates have to register on the online portal provided on the college’s official website, fill in all their relevant details, upload a soft copy of all the relevant documents, and submit the application form.

Offline mode

Candidates must download the application form for their respective course from the college’s official website, fill in all their relevant details, and submit/mail it to the college campus, along with all the relevant documents required.

The documents required are:

• 10+2 mark sheets
• Semester mark sheets / Degree certificate
• TC / Migration certificate
• CET / COMED-K / PGCET / KMAT /Admission Order + card + bank challan
• Provisional Diploma certificate
• Income and caste certificate (for concerned candidates)
• Convocation certificate

Admission Procedure

Admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses is granted on the basis of merit (10+2 marks minimum 45% with PCM and/or Bachelor’s degree), as well as scoring/rank on entrance exams respective to each course such as the CET, COMED-K, PGCET, KMAT, and other valid exams.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

CIT Karnataka has separate facilities for boys and girls. The boys-hostel is located on-campus while the girls-hostel is located off-campus.

All the hostel rooms are well furnished and healthy food is served. The entire campus is Wi-Fi Enabled.

Campus Facilities

• A Library or Learning Resource Centre is available to the staff & students, consisting of a large collection of books pertaining to Engineering, Management & Applied Sciences. Online access to e-resources has been set-up via IP enabling. The reading section of the library, with subscription to many periodicals, is kept open for staff and students even after normal working hours.
• CIT has well established state-of-the-art Computer Centres housing over 750 computer systems, connected over LAN. Internet connectivity of 10 Mbps leased line round the clock.
• A well furnished auditorium which can accommodate more than 500 students is centrally located on the campus
• A brand new state-of-the-art cafeteria hygienically maintained caters to the needs of the staff and students. It serves nutritional and balanced food throughout the day
• The Institute offers facilities for Sports and Extra Curricular activities. Students are encouraged to participate in inter-collegiate sports programmes, co-curricular and cultural activities. The CIT cricket ground is approved by Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) and is routinely used to host league matches.
