National Institute Of Electronics And Information Technology, Gorakhpur Centre Gorakhpur

The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Gorakhpur Centre is an educational institute focused on IT and electronics. It was established as Centre for Electronics Design & Technology of India (CEDTI) in June 1989. NIELIT operates under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Government of India.

The institute has a Total built-up area of 4800 square meters. It includes a hostel for 70 students. NIELIT Gorakhpur serves as a training and consultancy center for small-scale IT industries. It conducts training programs aimed at promoting entrepreneurship.

The courses offered include Embedded Systems, VLSI, Instrumentation, Bioinformatics, ITES-BPO, Information Security, Cyber Law and Networking. NIELIT Gorakhpur is affiliated with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University, Lucknow. It provides two MTech courses- MTech in Electronics Design & Technology and MTech in VLSI Design which are the flagship programs.

The institute offers different facilities, including a library, sports facilities, separate hostels for boys and girls and a computer lab. 

For admissions students need valid scores from GATE entrance exam or AKTU PG Entrance Exam. NIELIT is accredited for 'O' and 'A' level Software Courses Bioinformatics and Hardware Courses.
