Fee Structure Of UIET, Kurukshetra-University Institute Of Engineering And Technology

University Institute of Engineering and Technology is an autonomous body affiliated to the University of Kurukshetra, Haryana and was founded in 2004 by an Act of Parliament and is also recognized by UGC.

The institute offers B. Tech courses in-

• Biotechnology engineering
• Computer science and engineering
• Mechanical engineering
• Electronics and communication engineering.

For admission to these courses, the candidates need a minimum of 45% in the relevant subjects in the class XII examinations and need a merit rank in the AIEEE entrance examination.

M. Tech courses are offered in-

• Biotechnology
• Computer engineering
• Electrical engineering
• Electronics and communication engineering
• Material science and technology
• Industrial and Production engineering
• Thermal engineering
• Software engineering.

For these courses, candidates are selected based on their GATE scores.

PhD programs are offered in–

• Computer science and engineering
• Electronics and communication engineering
• Mechanical engineering
• Applied Science
• Biotechnology

The campus facilities include- 10 computer laboratories, university health centre, a library with around 15000 books.

Application and Admission Procedure

Admission Process

The students need to pass 10+2 examination from recognized board/university with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry or Bio-Technology or Computer Science or Biology or diploma in engineering or technology for duration of three years from a state board technical education, Haryana or any other degree equivalent to it.

• Once the student has registered for the online application form, it’s time to fill the online application form with the accurate details.
• The next step is to upload the scanned photographs and signature as per the dimensions specified in the instructions.
• The last step is to make the payment as per the modes specified in the application form.
• The candidates must take out the printout of the application form for future reference.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

Hostel facilities are indeed provided by the Institute to desirous students, both for boys and girls, with a capacity to accommodate 2500 girls and 2000 boys.

The rooms are shared, with up to 3 people occupying one dormitory, and both AC and non-AC rooms are available at different rates.

According to student accounts, the hostels are well-maintained and hygienic, with mess facilities that provide nutritious and homely food.

Other facilities offered include free and high-speed Wi-Fi access, medical amenities, a laundromat, and a general store.

Facilities

The institute campus is located within the sprawling green campus of Kurukshetra University in Thaneswar, Kurukshetra, Haryana, around midway between New Delhi and Chandigarh.

Other sundry facilities offered include a well-stocked library, Dharohar Museum, state-of-the-art classrooms and auditoriums, AC labs, sports grounds and courts for students to practice indoor and outdoor sporting activities.
