Description

The Central Tool Room (CTR) is a government college located in Ludhiana. It was established in 1980 through a technical cooperation agreement between India and Germany.

CTR offers many technical education programs. It provides Certificate Courses, Diploma and Post Diploma Courses. Four-Year Diploma in Tool & Die Technology is flagship program. Other courses include a One-Year Post Diploma in Tool Engineering and a Two-Year Certificate Course in Heat Treatment.

College has more than 300 students and around 20 faculty members. Admission to the diploma course is conducted by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education through a Joint Entrance Test (JET). The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
