Salem College o Engineering and Technology is a private institute founded in 2009 and approved by AICTE and Government of Tamil Nadu. The institution is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.

Salem College of Engineering and Technology provides courses for post graduate as well as undergraduate programs. It offers courses in CSE, Mechanical, Civil, ECE, EEE and Bio-Chemical Engineering. The admissions are done on the basis of percentage scored in 12^th standard and JEE Mains as well.

The college campus provides various facilities to students. It includes hostels for both boys and girls, a Library, laboratories for research and experiments, transport facilities, cafeteria, and one big open hall and two small auditoriums.
