Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) is a private college established in 2002, and affiliated to Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala. It is sponsored by the Amritsar International Foundation Trust, and is duly approved and accredited by the AICTE, NAAC, the NBA and the UGC. ACET is located in Rakh-Jhita, Punjab, 12 km from Amritsar.

The college offers B. Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Sc. Agriculture and B.Com Professional programs at the undergraduate level, and M. Tech and MBA programs at the postgraduate level. Other than these, ACET also offers a course in Hotel Management.

The campus is spread across 13 acres of land, and offers facilities such as hostels for men and women, a well-equipped library, medical services, state-of-the-art high-tech labs, as well as a swimming pool and gym.

The admission into UG programs is on the basis of merit marks scored in Class 12^thas well as clearance of the JEE Main exam for the B. Tech course. Admission to PG programs is on the basis of the applicant’s Bachelor’s degree, as well as scores on the GATE exam and CAT/ MAT/ GMAT exam, for M. Tech and MBA respectively.

How to apply?

To be eligible for UG and PG programmes, the candidates need to score a minimum of 50% marks in their 10+2 (For UG) and 55% in their undergraduate courses (For PG) from a recognised university.

The application process is as follows:

Online Mode:

Candidates can apply for the interested course by filling the online application form on the institute’s official website. The application fee can be paid online using Credit/Debit card, e-wallets, UPI and net banking.

After completion of the online procedure, the candidate shall receive a call from the institute’s admission cell to help with subsequent process and shall report on the scheduled date for submitting of documents.

There is no offline mode for applying for the procedure offline.

• Memo certificates of class 10^th and 12^th grade.
• Graduation mark sheet (for PG applicants)
• Migration certificate
• Caste certificate, if applicable.
• JEE rank card/ GATE score card/ CMAT score card, as applicable
• Aadhar card copy
• Passport sized photographs

Admission procedure

The admission into the UG Programmes is based on merit (class 12^th marks). For BE/B.tech programmes, JEE main scores are mandatory.

For M.tech and MBA candidates, GATE and CMAT scores are mandatory respectively. MCA candidates are selected on merit basis. (Scores of their last qualifying exam)

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel facilities

The top rated hostel accommodations are provided to both boys and girls in this engineering college. There are around 108 rooms in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hostel which is available for boys and 54 rooms in Kalpana Chawla Hostel. The artistic hostel rooms consist of all the necessary amenities required by the students. Varied facilities include

• The Hostel also consists of Gymnasiums and Social Interaction Rooms for Recreation and Relaxation. 

Other Facilities

The central library caters to the need of all the students by providing them with a wide variety of knowledge in various fields such as engineering, management, computer applications and so on. A large collection is available in the well-equipped library.

A dispensary is also present where the students, staff and the faculty members can avail free medical services. Access to world-class technologies is available through well-equipped labs and seminar halls.
