Scholarships

Prime Minister's Scholarship:

Applicable to: Wards of ex-servicemen and widows of defense personnel.
Expenses covered: Rs. 2500 per month for boys, Rs. 3000 per month for girls.
Eligibility: Students should be a ward of an ex-serviceman or a widow of a defense personnel. Minimum 60% marks in the qualifying examination.

Chief Minister's Scholarship:

Applicable to: Meritorious students of Assam who secure admission in Assam Engineering College through the state entrance examination.
Expenses covered: Rs. 10,000 per year for four years.
Eligibility: Students should be residents of Assam and have secured at least 85% marks in the qualifying examination.

Scholarship for SC/ST students:

Applicable to: Students belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe categories.
Expenses covered: Varies based on parents' income.
Eligibility: Valid caste certificate, parents' income not exceeding Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum.

Merit-cum-means scholarship:

Applicable to: Students with good academic records from economically weaker sections.
Expenses covered: Rs. 20,000 per year for four years.
Eligibility: Minimum 75% marks in the qualifying examination, parents' income not exceeding Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum.

National Talent Search Scholarship:

Applicable to: Students who qualified the National Talent Search Examination conducted by NCERT.
Expenses covered: Rs. 1250 per month (undergraduate), Rs. 2000 per month (postgraduate).

Assam Science and Technology University Merit Scholarship:

Applicable to: Students securing admission through the Assam Science and Technology University entrance examination (rank within 1000).
Expenses covered: Rs. 5000 per year for four years.

Assam Science and Technology University Endowment Scholarship:

Applicable to: Students securing admission through the Assam Science and Technology University entrance examination (rank within 5000) from economically weaker sections.
Expenses covered: Rs. 10,000 per year for four years.
