Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute Of Technology (KIT) Coimbatore

The Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute of Technology (KKIT) is a private autonomous institute located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 2008 by the Vijayalakshmi Palanisamy Charitable Trust. Campus is in Kannampalayam, Pallapalayam, Coimbatore.

KKIT is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. It has approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) receiving an 'A' grade.

The institute offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Undergraduate programs include BE in many engineering disciplines like Aeronautical, Agricultural, Biomedical, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering and BTech in Biotechnology. Postgraduate courses include ME in multiple engineering fields, as well as MBA and MCA programs.

KKIT provides different facilities. These include a library with over 21,522 volumes and 7,376 titles a gymnasium and a computer center. Hostel facilities are available for both male and female students.

For admissions, institute accepts entrance exam scores like TNEA for BE programs and TANCET for M.E., MBA and MCA programs.

The institute ranked 187 out of 281 colleges in India in 2023 according to India Today. B.Tech program ranked 155 out of 246 colleges in same year. KKIT has international collaborations that offer global exposure to students.

KKIT has a record of good placements. Regular recruiters include Amazon, Bosch, Infosys, Wipro and Tata Consultancy Service.
