Hamdard Institute Of Medical Sciences And Research (HIMSR) Delhi

The Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (HIMSR) is located in New Delhi. Established in 2012, it operates as a private institute and is a constituent college of Jamia Hamdard. HIMSR focuses on affordable education in life sciences and healthcare. The Hakeem Abdul Hameed Centenary Hospital equipped with over 740 beds supports the institute.

HIMSR offers undergraduate postgraduate and postdoctoral programs in medical and allied fields. Its flagship course is Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Other courses available include MS, M.Sc, MOT, MPH, MPT, MD and PhD The faculty-student ratio is approximately 1-5.

In rankings, HIMSR was positioned 33rd out of 50 colleges in India in 2022 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and was 22nd out of 40 colleges in 2020. HIMSR requires students to complete a one-year compulsory internship with a stipend.
