Description

Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) is located in New Delhi. It was established in 1958. It is a government medical college. It is affiliated with the University of Delhi.

The campus covers 122 acres. MAMC is attached to four institutes- Lok Nayak Hospital, GB Pant Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences and Guru Nanak Eye Center.

MAMC offers undergraduate postgraduate and post-doctoral courses in multiple medical specialties. Flagship course is MBBS. Other courses include MD, MS, Diploma and M.Ch as a super specialty.

College trains 290 undergraduate students and 245 postgraduate and post-doctoral students annually. This training is conducted by a faculty of 400+ members and includes 800+ resident doctors.

MAMC provides many facilities like a library, sports facilities, medical facilities, a canteen and IT infrastructure. For admissions, it accepts NEET UG for MBBS, NEET PG for MD/MS/PG Diploma and NEET SS for MCh.

MAMC is recognized by the Medical Council of India and the National Medical Commission. In rankings it is placed 3rd by India Today & Times of India. National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023 ranked it as 32nd top medical college in India.

Graduates must complete a compulsory internship at LNJP hospital and other associated hospitals.
