College of Technology was established in the year 1962 as a public university under the authority of state government of Uttarakhand, India. It is set up in the rural background in the city of Pantnagar of state Uttarakhand.
The institute is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University and is now known by the name Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology. This institution is duly recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) and all the courses being offered are recognized and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Various certification is regularly done which include world bank funded Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP), it also holds ISO 9001:2008 certification and has established a centre of excellence in collaboration with CISCO as a Regional Academy Centre.
The institute has 11 departments providing 8 undergraduate (UG) courses, 24 postgraduate (PG) courses and one self-financed MCA program. Admission to all the courses is done according to the merit in national and state level entrance examinations.
Hostel and Facilities
The college provides separate hostels for both boys and girls. There are triple sharing, double sharing and single rooms provided to the students according to their respective year of study. The rooms provided are well ventilated and well furnished. Besides, a resident warden is available at both the hostels for guiding the students and maintaining the discipline.
