Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Distance MBA
Karnataka State Open University was established in 1996 under an act of the Government of Karnataka, to foster education in the roots of the state through open distance learning. The university currently enrolls more than 1-lakh students and is expected to enroll over 2-lakh students from the next academic year. The university is widely recognized and respected. KSOU Distance MBA
KSOU Distance MBA is a 2 year program with 7 specializations. The program has 4 semesters of 6 months each. The course has total 94 credits. The specializations offered are

KSOU Distance MBA Admission Procedure
Candidates can seek admission to KSOU distance MBA programs in 3 different modes –
- Self admission
- Admission through Learner Support Centres
- Admission through Regional Centres/ Head Quarters directly
Self admission or admission through regional center or university office
- The candidate need to visit ksoumysuru.ac.in and fill the application. They also need to select the nearest Learner Support Centre
and Regional Centre. - Then the candidate needs to upload scanned copies of the required documents.
After this the candidate need to submit the form and pay application fee online. - The candidate needs to visit the regional center or university main office for document verification. They need to carry the documents in original along with photocopy.
- Once the documents are verified candidates need to pay the required fee. Admission fee can be paid online.
- Once admission is confirmed, the candidate can collect the roll number, study material and ID card.
Admission through learner support center
- Visit the nearest learner support center with original documents
- Learner support center will verify the documents and upload the scanned copies. Regional center will verify the documents and approve them.
- Candidate will pay necessary admission fee online once documents are verified
- Candidates will visit the nearest regional center with original documents along with photocopies and fee receipt.
- Candidates will collect the roll number, study material and ID card.

KSOU requires that the student submit the following documents for verification, when submitting the application form:
- Undertaking Form
- Date of Birth Certificate
- 10th Mark sheet or passing certificate
- 12th Mark sheet or passing certificate
- Final semester/Year Mark sheet/Consolidated Mark sheet of Qualifying Exam
- Provisional Passing Certificate of Qualifying Exam
KSOU Distance MBA Fee Structure 2023-24
The total fee for KSOU distance MBA is Rs.55,800 in 2023-24. The fee can be paid in two installments of Rs.28,000/- and Rs.27,800/-.

The fee for the course may be paid through many modes including Bank Transfer, Demand Draft, Online via Credit/Debit Card.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission of KSOU MBA
For admission into the MBA courses at Karnataka State Open University, it is required that the student must be a graduate (Minimum 3 years) in any discipline from any of the recognized universities with a minimum aggregate of 50%. For the Executive MBA, the student must additionally have a work experience of a minimum of 3 years.
Important Dates 2023-24
Last date to enroll into KSOU Distance MBA in 2023-24 July cycle is 31st August 2023.
The program starts on 30th June 2023.
Scholarships offered By Karnataka state open University
KSOU does not offer any scholarships to its students, but the reserved category students (SC/ST) are eligible for a refund of the tuition fee in the course, provided that their parental income is under Rs. 2,50,000/- per annum.
