Silicon Institute Of Technology, Bhubaneswar (SIT) Khordha

Silicon Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar was established in 2001 by graduates from BITS Pilani, Sanjeev Nayak and Laxman Mohanty. The campus is located in Infocity, Bhubaneswar and spans 18.5 acres.

This institute was previously affiliated with Utkal University. Since 2002 it has been associated with Biju Patnaik University of Technology. The institute offers different undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including B.Tech specializations in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical Engineering. There are five departments and 63 laboratories on campus.

The student population includes 2838 individuals supported by 166 faculty members. Silicon Institute of Technology has received an NAAC Grade A accreditation. Three of its UG programs have NBA accreditation.

In NIRF Rankings 2023 institute ranks in Band 151-300 for Innovation. It was ranked 161 in Engineering category in 2022 NIRF Rankings. Admission to programs requires JEE Main scores. Institute also offers lateral entry admissions to students who have qualified OJEE.

Institute offers facilities such as a 400-seater auditorium, many subject laboratories, a sports complex and a library. 

Placements - For 2023 highest package offered was ?28 LPA with over 50% of students receiving multiple job offers. More than 80 companies participated in the placement process resulting in 805 job offers.
