COLLEGE PROFILE

Thangavelu Engineering College was established in the year 1995. It is located in Tamil Nadu and is government recognised. The college has been approved by All India Council of Technical Education and affiliated to Anna University.

The college offers various courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. All the admissions are strictly done on the basis of merit ranks obtained by the student in the qualifying examination that is Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission Exam.

The college has a dedicated training and placement cell for helping students secure decent jobs after the degree. Various companies like Infosys, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Tata Consultancy Services, Capgemini, Accenture etc visit the campus every year to recruit the students for various job profiles.

The college provides all the modern facilities to the students and the staff members. A well-maintained computer laboratory, gymnasium, library and cafeteria are some of the major attractions. The campus is fully residential with hostel facilities. A spacious auditorium for hosting various expert talks and seminars for the students is also available.

Hostel facilities- Thangavelu Engineering College provides separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels have well furnished spacious rooms, a modern kitchen and dining halls, internet access, television, telephone and reading rooms with magazines, periodicals and newspapers.

College facilities- The central library of the college has 5800 books, NPTEL videos, a book bank for poor students and provides interactive lectures through ANNA EDUSAT. There are 19 state of the art departmental laboratories and 3 workshops and the classrooms are ultra modern with the latest infrastructure.

Other facilities are- a large canteen, seminar hall, indoor stadium, a sports complex, gymnasium,own fleet of buses and a health center with 6 beds and medicine supplies. Separate health care arrangements are available for the boys and girls.
