National Institute of Fashion Technology National Institute of Fashion Technology has emerged as the premier Institute of Design, Management, and Technology, developing professionals for taking up leadership positions in fashion business in the emerging global scenario. NIFT has been granted statutory status under the act of Parliament of India in 2006, empowering the Institute to award degrees and other academic distinctions. NIFT offers four-year bachelor and two-year master programs in the areas of Design, Management, and Technology.

In 2013, NIFT Gandhinagar was allotted an extra 30 seats in Fashion Design department under NRI quota in response to the center's ever-growing demand and quality. Latest surveys rank NIFT Delhi, Bengaluru and Gandhinagar as the top 3 centers in terms of education and placement.

Academics:

The regular, full-time programs at NIFT are run at two levels namely the Graduate level and the Post Graduate level, however, NIFT has also recently launched its Ph.D. program. NIFT has an agreement for Dual Degree with fashion institute of technology, with the selected students from NIFT receiving a Dual Degree from both NIFT and Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, USA. At the Masters' level, NIFT offers Master of Fashion Management, Master of Design and Master of Fashion Technology.
