Atmiya Institute Of Technology And Science (AITS) Rajkot

Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science (AITS), Rajkot, is a private institution that was established in 2000 in Rajkot, Gujarat. It is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, and has been duly approved by the AICTE and the State Government. It has been accredited a “B Grade” by NAAC.

The institution possesses numerous departments, and offers B.E and B.Pharm courses at the undergraduate level, and ME, M.Pharm, MCA and MBA courses at the postgraduate level, as well as several other diploma courses.

The campus offers facilities such as hostels for men only, state-of-the-art labs, computer labs, auditoriums, a cafeteria, a well-stocked library, and health and sports amenities including a gym.

The admission into UG and PG programs is centralized and as per the norms of ACPC. It is granted on the basis of merit marks scored in Class 12^th, scoring in the JEE Mains & Advance Test Series, scoring on the CAT exam, and the applicant’s Bachelor’s degree respectively depending on the course chosen.

Admission to Engineering Courses:-

• For admission purpose, a candidate must passed the Qualifying Examination with minimum eligibility criteria from:-

1. Gujrat Board
2. Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE)
3. The council of Indian School Certificate Examination
4. National Institute of Open Schooling
5. International School Board

• Candidates should have appeared in JEE Mains conducted in the corresponding year.
• Students who has passed the qualifying examination after appearing in the supplementary examination shall be eligible for admission in the current academic year on the vacant seats.
• The seats shall be reserved for the candidates who are of Gujrat origin and falls under the following categories:-

1. Schedule Castes (7%)
2. Scheduled Tribes (15%)
3. Socially and Educationally Backward classes, which includes widows and orphan of any caste (27%)

• Reserved seats’ candidates shall be required to produce a certificate of caste.
• If the student fails to submit the certificates as required, within the stipulated time, his / her candidature shall be considered for admission under unreserved category.
• 3% of the available seats in each category shall be reserved for the persons with disabilities.
• 1% of the available seats shall be reserved for the children of Defence personnel and Ex-Servicemen, for admission.

Hostel and Facilities

Campus facilities:

Atmiya Institute is spread over a wide area and has facilities such as gym, swimming pool, indoor games such as Table tennis, Chess, Carom, Badminton etc and has a large sports zone for outdoor games such as Basketball, Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Cricket and Athletics.

There is also an ATM in the campus where the students are provided a special benefit of a student account from Union Bank of India with an ATM card. In addition to that, there is also a medical care that provides health care services for its students.

Hostel:

The institute has hostel facility only for boys. Accommodating more than 350+ students, the rooms are of type cubicles and dormitories. Each room is equipped with a bed, a study table, a cupboard and an easy chair.

The hostel has a mess which provides good hygienic food to its students. The hostel also provides newspapers on a daily basis and there’s also a TV room in the premises to unwind a bit and relax.
