The university was established in 2009 by Naveen Jindal inthe memory of his father OP. Jindal. It is a private university located in Sonipat Haryana. The university has 7 schools that cater to faculties of law, business, public policy, arts, journalism, international affairs and architecture. Around 2000 students study at the university. The university has a number of international collaborations –

The university is popular for its law school which is spread over 80 acres. It offer graduate and post graduate degrees in law – BA/BBA LLB (3 year program) and LLM (1 year program).
The university has won many awards at national and international level. It was recently ranked at second place by India Today as top emerging law college.
The university offers multiple scholarships at UG and PG level – O.P Jindal Outstanding Merit Scholarships, Naveen Jindal Young Global Scholarships, Savitri Jindal Merit-cum-Means Fellowships and Shallu Jindal Outstanding Women Scholarships.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The following steps should be followed to submit your online application for admission into the courses offered by the University.
- Register at the official website of the University by filling in your name, email address, mobile number, state, city, and program details.
- An Application Number will be displayed which would be used for further communications.
- Fill in the application form.
- Scanned copies of recent 2×2 colour headshot and signature need to be uploaded.
- Then the student needs to select his course.
- After the selection the applicant needs to provide a proof that they belong to Haryana and SC status.
- Submit the application fee to complete the process.
Hostel and Facilities
The O P Jindal University has a University Hall of Residence for its students. The hall has many blocks.
There are separate blocks for male and female students.
Each block has corridors, common rooms and open spaces. The rooms are well furnished and well spacious. The surrounding of the blocks are decorated with flowers, trees and bushes.
The university also provides the students living in the campus with many facilities, like Gymnasium, Outdoor games and Indoor Games.
It also provides kitchens with all the basic facilities needed for the students. The campus is well maintained and has tight security to maintain the safety and security of the students living in the campus.
The University celebrates all the occasion with equal charm as it strongly believes in unity in diversity and also requests the students to participate in the occasions. Every year annual programme and sports is organised by the O P Jindal University.

Eligibility
1) 3 year Law Degree Course - A candidate who has graduated in any discipline from a recognized University can appear for L.L.B. course
2) Integrated Degree Program - Candidate must have passed 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam or an exam cosidered to be equivalnt to 10+2 Higher Secondary Exam can enrol for integrated degree program (LLB and a first degree in any other subject).
Candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree after taking up other courses through distance mode are also considered eligible for integrated degree course. But those candidates who have obtained 10+2 Higher secondary exam certificate or a graduate degree through distance mode or from open universities without any basic qualification are not eligible for admission into law courses.
Minimum marks for admission into law courses -
1) 40% for SC/ST candidates
2) 45% for other candidates
Remarks
There is a scope of improvement for the university but right now all basic facilities are provided by the university. The college has been great as compared to other colleges and also provide required exposure. Though the classroom are pretty small and compact but still manageable with limited batch size.
Entrance Exam
I got admitted based on my LAST score. I ranked around 90000 and was also awarded some scholarship amount. You can apply to the university both online as well as offline at the university. Make sure you take all you your doucmnets as asked as I forgot some of them and then it was a bit troubling.
Fees
I have speed around Rs 7-8 lakh. Though scholarship amount of around 50000 was also granted to me and if you continue a good performance you will be granted more than that.
Placements
The placement cell of the college is good and keeps on bringing new and top companies. The average placement was around 9 lacs. Most of the students got placed and rest went for higher education.
Hostel and Facilities
The hostel is provided on sharing basis as well as the mess food is a good quality. It has the basics furniture provided to the students. The rooms are also spacious enough and need to be shared with atleast 2-4 students. The fee of the hostel is manageable if you compare it with staying outside.

Some of the top alumni is of the college are top notch in their own industries which range from business to entertainment. They also visit us sometimes and it is very fun then.

Remarks
The college was good but the faculty and facilities of the college were a bit over rated. There infra of the college is good but the placements was not that good and management should work on this. I would give 7 on 10 to the college.
Entrance Exam
No internet had to give any entrance test to get into the college and was just based on my class 12th score. So i had to appear for interview also if you have the score of any national level entrance test that is an adult advantage.
Fees
I have to say the college fee is very expensive. I had to pay around 10 lakhs to tell access the total see for my course. Though they are other charges as well including laptop, examination, library extra which also needs to be paid.
Placements
Placement of the college is great and is almost in par with the fee charged. College charges around 10 lacs and average placement package is also near this. Some top companies of various industries visitors for placement. The best part placement cell which gives us the required training before the placements. Also the placements of the college has been increasing year or near.
Hostel and Facilities
The college road hostel facilities to both boys and girls. It provides lot of facilities including wifi, shuttle service, atm, etc.
Alumni
Alumni network to college is pretty strong and they are always available to have helped whenever you contact them. Also the seniors have been good with me to provision of ragging or discrimination union account
Faculty
The teachers have been very great me especially as i'm not very strong in academic. The best part is they do not disconnect between the top students and the ones who video. They also providers required exposure which is very important
