Entrance Exam

Admission into the university is just based on clas 12th marks and interview. No need for an y entrance score. Post clearing the interview, candidates can choose the branch they are interested in and then as per the availability, they will b offered.

Fees

The fee for the course way high as compared to other colleges in the state. The fee for the btech program is around Rs 2,20,000 for 1 year and additional hostel fee of Rs 1 lac needs to be paid if the student wants the hostel.

Placements

The collegehas not placed any student as of now as it is new and the first batch is yet to pass. But ciondiering the ststus of the college, I am very positibve that the placement packages will be very good.

Hostel and Facilities

The college provides hostel rooms on individual and sharing basis. The fee for the room depends on the type of room. The rooms are spacious and furnished. The colleges are maintained by sodexo. And provides worldclass mess facilities.

Faculty

The faculties mentor in various specializations. All the faculties are very well experienced. Most of the faculties have their PHD in their field. Some of them are from IIT’s as well. We also have international faculties.

Campus Life

The number of events and fests are organized by the university year. One of the most popular event is the 67th milestone. Other events include, freshers, farewell, independence & republic day ecelbration.

Academics

Almost 50% of the marks are from internal exams. Students can score good credits in theby submitting timely assignments and projects. Marks are also given in class participation and quizzes. There are 2 semester every year.

Internships

It is mandatory for students to do internship from 2nd t=year for atleast two months. Students can either go for thei own internship or comapony suggested. Through need to provide proper documentation and certificate. Marks and credits are given based on internship.

Loans and Scholarships

The university offers educational loan facilities at minimal interest rates. Scholarships are provided to top ranking students as well as girls.

Remarks

It is one of the best private universities and offers a lot of facilities which include luxurious infra, well maintained labs, tech-teaching aids. The method of teaching is completely modern with the use of audio-visual facilities, projectors. Also, the all the classes are airconditioned.

Entrance Exam

The admission into the mba program is based on your score in entrance exams like cat, mat, xat, cnap, cmat etc. Also, this is not the only criteria candidates also need to attend the gd and pi round. Work experience is not mandatory but the ones with experience are preferred over others.

Fees

The total fee comes around 10 lakhs. This is pretty expensive in terms of the private university but the university offers scholarships to meritorious students.

Placements

Almost all of the students of my batch were placed with an average package of around 6 lakhs. The placement cell of the college is great it helps us in getting placed with the help of mock interview and skills development programs. The committee also helps us in working on our weak areas and even setting up our resumes. The placement cell is very efficient.

Hostel and Facilities

Alumni

It has an college alumni association who are invited to motivate students with their speeches and seminars. They also come as guest lecturers. There is an orientation program for the fresher’s where they get to know their teachers as well as their peers. Popular personalities called for include bikram singh who is the ex-chief of Indian army.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is very understanding and well qualified. The college ensures that its students get the best of the guidance from top facilities from not just India but across the globe. As the Imperial college of London is our mentor college, a lot of its faculty also comes down and teachers us. The Indian faculties are from top institute like IIM’s , sp jain, NMIMS and more.

Campus Life

The life at bmu has been great. Not just on the academic level but also on a personal level. There is lot of scope for creativity and we also get a lot of opportunities along with the required exposure in our respective fields. Also, the college promotes students who want to start something of their own.

Academics

Internships

When it comes to internship the college is one of the best in the country. They not only help you get an internship but also connects you with the company ypu want to intern for. Internship is taken very seriously and students get to do 2 internships during the course. This is done to provide diverse exposure to the students in the field of his/her interest. It also provides you with the required training.

Loans and Scholarships

The college has a tie up with a number of banks and students can get the loan facilities from them. To avail the scholarship based on your academic peroformca, the sytidents needs to maintain over 75% or 7.5 grape point average along with good attendance. The scholarship are provided to students belonging to reserved/minorities as well.

Remarks

The college is one of the best pvt colleges in India. The college has a great infra as well the teaching methodology. I would for sure recommend it to the new students. The college is also provides active participation in periodical visits. The college has a huge library which has a lot of books. The college has the best technology in all fields.

Entrance Exam

For admission in the college, the candidates have to fill in the application form, based on that the admission committee will shortlist the students and call them for interview. Students can also be admitted based on the jee score.

Fees

The fee for the college is affordable and feasible as compared to other pvt colleges. Students have to pay Rs 2.2 lakhs per annum for the general category. This does not include hostel fee. The fee for all the batches are same.

Placements

Being a mechanical engineering sudent, the scope of placement is limited in this college. Students from other streams like CS/IT and E&E have a higher placement rate. The average package of the college is around 3-4 lakhs.

Hostel and Facilities

The college does provide the hostel facility. The hostel is for girls and boys and is separate obviously. There are ac as well as non-ac rooms. The fee for the AC is pretty high. The hostel facilities are very good and the mess food is also good.

Alumni

Seniors to be very Frank were not much help at the beginning but as soon as uh get to know each other, the bonding became stronger and they became helpful after that. The seniors are very helpful once you get to know them. They help us in our assignment and also act as career guide.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is very experienced and some of them are even from universities abroad. They interact with students in very calm and composed manner. They take academics very seriously but then also room or jokes and life lessons. Most of the faculty is very senior and have ph’s in their subjects . Though there are also some of them who are very young and needs a bit more experience. They also help us in research work and guide us if we want to go for the masters.

Campus Life

The highlight is the lotus fest, which is sports fest and is conducted don a very large scale. A lot of student participate in this. The college puts extra support when it comes to facilities we have coaches for almost all major sports. Other than this there are various competitions. Also, there is an annual competition of music bands and all top bands participate in it.

Academics

Each year has 2 semester and there are internals and mid sem and end sem exams. They all carry different weigh, mid carries 20% while end carries 40% and internals 40%. The total score is the total of all of the above. There are also marks for class participation, assignments and attendance.

Internships

The internships are very crucial part in this college it mandatory to intern for minimum w months in the 2nd year itself. The internships are arranged by the company but students can also go for internship on their own. The student who choose the 2nd option need to provide the right documentation and have it pre-approved by their faculty. The college is very active when it comes to internships as they believe it one of the ways to lean the practical knowledge before you step in the corporate field.

Loans and Scholarships

The college provides loan to student who cannot afford the fee. There are numerous scholarships like one is for for the girl, then based on your class 12th score and then based on your jee score, students who have less than 25k rank in jee get upto 100% scholarship which is pretty great considering the fee of the college.

Remarks

BMU has excellent infrastructure, well-qualified faculties, and industrial exposure which makes it a great place for students to chase their dreams. BMU have organized many guest lecture sessions for personality development.

Entrance Exam

BML Munjal University doesn’t conduct any entrance exam for admissions. The students need to attach their 10th and 12th mark sheets at the time of applying for an admission. Additionally, students have to write an essay about them and the reason for choosing this university. Selected students after this round, there will be an interview for which, they will get a call from the university regarding the interview details. Based on the interview, seats will be allocated to students according to their priority. I am doing Computer Science and Engineering now. I am really passionate about computers, that’s why I chose this course.

Fees

The total fee for B. tech course is INR 1 lacs for 4 years. The hostel fee is approximately in between INR 80,000 to INR 1,00,000 based on the type of room the student is choosing. In addition to that, the mess and laundry fee costs INR 55,000. The fees is high, but this is common in private universities. Because most of the students get scholarships, so the fee becomes affordable.

Placements

As the university was established 3 years ago, there is not outgoing batch, hence, no batch has been placed yet. But I hope that I’ll get good placements as it is mentored by Imperial College of London and is a brain child of Hero Group. The companies that frequently visit our campus are: Aditya Birla Group, Ernst & Young, Hero Honda Motors, Siemens, Axis Bank, Yes Bank etc.

Hostel and Facilities

There are 6 total hostel blocks. 5 blocks are for boys and 1 is for girls. Among the hostel blocks, 4 are apartment hostel blocks namely Apartment A, B, C, and D. Apartment C is for girls. Remaining 2 hostel blocks are towers: Tower 1 and Tower 2. We also have triple sharing rooms in tower blocks. We have single and double sharing rooms in apartment blocks. The single room fee is nearly INR 1 lac (scholarship excluded) and for double sharing, it is INR 90,000 per annum. The hostels are maintained by Sodexo. The mess are maintained by 2 well-known caterers which are Sodexo and Compass. The menu consists of both north and south Indian dishes.

Alumni

There are many events conducted in our university to get students interact with the alumni. My University has a good alumni structure. They are very supportive and always helpful towards students.

Faculty

Most of the faculties stay in the campus itself. Any student can meet them at any time between 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. We have faculties who have pursued their PHDs from IITs and other renowned worldwide universities. They always find new ways to teach students. They are very interactive and are always helpful to students. Every student is assigned to one faculty who will mentor the student throughout until the graduation program.

Campus Life

We have many non-technical and technical clubs. We have 2 full-time functioning gyms in the campus. We have an indoor Kabaddi court, 1 football ground, 2 tennis courts and more than 5 badminton courts. My University conducts an annual fest called 67th Milestone which is held for a week. It organizes technical as well as cultural events. At the beginning of every academic year, an orientation week is conducted for freshers in order to give them an overview of the university. Lots of other events are also celebrated throughout the year. Students from other universities are also welcome to participate. There are also social service camps for blood donation, free eye testing camps etc. RHYTHM is also another cultural fest held for 5 days. Other technical events include TECHNOSUITE and INTELLIGENCE ON BOARD.

Academics

Semester type exam pattern is followed in our university. There are 2 semesters per year. 4 quizzes (Each having 5% weight age) are conducted (2 before mid semesters and 2 in after mid semester) in our college. 20% is the significance is of mid-semester exams and 40% is of end-semester exams. The remaining 20% is for labs and other assignments. There is continuous evaluation which helps students reduce burden. Our exams were light and easy. I got Computer Science and Engineering based on my performance in the interview. The course curriculum mainly focuses on practical learning. Our lab sessions are more than our lecture classes. We never felt bored in our class sessions. We were always given different case studies to work on. There are also clubs which gives chance to study elective subjects. My University encourages innovative works. Research is given first preference. We also have to submit a project every semester for each subject we are studying. The syllabus is well constructed and fairly designed to reduce the academic stress on students.

Internships

Yes, our company provide internship opportunities for students once they enter their second year. Internships are provided by very well-known companies and these companies also visit campus during placements. Before applying for any internship, a student should mandatorily inform the management about the company which they want to apply for. Internships are also provided on in-house projects. Stipends on internships is not a guarantee.

Loans and Scholarships

Scholarships here are given based on a student’s JEE rank or class 12th percentage. I got 75% concession in my tuition fee because of JEE rank (AIR 40,000). My university also provide loans as its is tied up with YES Bank. There are also scholarships for students who do well in academics and sports.
