Kurukshetra University (KUK) is located in Kurukshetra. The university covers 473 acres and is a state public university. it recognized by the UGC.

KUK has over 50,000 students and more than 1000 faculty members. It is affiliated with 282 colleges in seven districts of Haryana.

The university offers multiple courses across multiple levels, including certificates, diplomas, bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees. It has 47 departments providing 175 courses. KUK facilities include lecture theatres, smart classrooms, a Wi-Fi campus, a 24-hour library, laboratories, hostels, cafeterias, a market, a swimming pool, gymnasia, a bank, ATMs and sports facilities.

For admissions, KUK accepts national entrance exams like JEE Main, GATE and CAT. It conducts its own entrance tests for UG, PG and doctoral courses. The university holds an 'A++' grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). According to NIRF Ranking 2022 it is ranked 83rd in Pharmacy and 8th among state universities.

KUK has signed MoUs with seven international universities, six from Indonesia and one from Malaysia.

Placements - It has placed over 1550 students as per NIRF report 2024. The median package for placements is INR 4.2 LPA for UG students and INR 4 LPA for PG students.
