B.G.S Institute of Technology is a private engineering college in Mandya. It was established in 1974 under the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust. 

Campus covers 21 acres. It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Also, the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited programs in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

B.G.S Institute of Technology offers different courses. B.Tech program features five specializations while M.Tech program includes three disciplines. An MBA program is also available. Main course of institute is B.Tech program. Departments include Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Science & Engineering, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Electronics and Communication Engineering Department has 120 students. Mechanical Engineering Department has a intake of 60 students.

The institute provides many facilities. There is a computer resource center with multiple computers connected via high-speed LAN. The library contains a significant collection of engineering, science and humanities books, along with subscriptions to many journals and magazines. It also has separate hostel accommodations for boys and girls.

For admission the institute accepts KCET scores for undergraduates and GATE scores for postgraduates. The institute obtained accreditation from NBA and approval from AICTE. The Government of Karnataka recognizes it.

Rankings - The Week listed the institute as 87 out of 93 in 2022. In 2023, IIRF ranked it 110 out of 166 in India.

Institute has a Training and Placement cell that organizes industrial training and job placements. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Capgemini and Tech Mahindra conduct recruitment drives on campus. Over 55% of students received placements in one year with Infosys offering an average package of 13 LPA.
