Founded in 1997 by VidyaVardhaka Sangha, Vidhya Vardhaka College of engineering (VVCC) is one of the most reputed public engineering college which has been recognised by the government of Karnataka and the all India council for technical education.
It is located at a distance of 6km to the north of Mysore and 4km from the city railway station in a residential suburb of Gokulam.
The institute offers a wide range of undergraduate degrees in mechanical, electronics, computer science, information sciences, electrical and environmental engineering.
It also offers postgraduate degree in MBA and M.Tech in machine design, signal processing and engineering.
A huge campus amounting to 40 acres, serves the dual purpose of providing education in various departments with a preference to the computer science and electrical engineering located towards the main gate of the institute as well as acting as a stadium for various events ranging from cricket, football to concert and festivals.
Application and Admission Procedure
UNDER GRADUATE ADMISSIONS:
Minimum Eligibility- Candidates must have passed in 10+2 with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Electronics/Computer (40% for reserved categories). Candidate must have studied English in 10+2.
The college offers the following undergraduate courses-
- Computer Science & Engineering- The total no. of seats in this course is 120.
- Electronics & Communication- The total no of seats in this course is 120.
- Mechanical Engineering- The total no. of seats in this course is 120.
- Information Science & Engineering- The total no. of seats in this course is 60.
- Civil Engineering- The total no. of seats in this course is 60.
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering- The total no. of seats in this course is 60.
45% of the seats are filled on the basis of merit scored in CET, 30% of the seats are filled on the basis of merit scored in COMEDK, & 25% of the seats are reserved for management quota.
POST GRADUATE ADMISSIONS:
- MBA- The candidate should have graduated in the necessary discipline with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). 50% of the seats are filled on the basis of merit scored in PGCET and 50% are reserved for management quota.
- M.TECH- The candidate should have graduated in BE/B.Tech with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved categories). 50% of the seats are filled on the basis of merit scored in PGCET/GATE and 20% through management.

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at VVCE students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.

- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
