Seshadripuram First Grade College was established under the Seshadripuram Educational Trust. The Seshadripuram Group of Institution was initiated back in 1930 and since then the institution has grown from a strength of 20 children and 2 rooms to total student strength of 20,000 and 24 big campuses for kindergarten to post graduation degree courses. The aim of the institution is to provide equal educational opportunities to all in this highly diverse society. With the inclusion of modern academic streams and a world class infrastructure for research, learning and extra-curricular activities, the Seshadripuram First Grade College takes pride in being a recognised institution fostering prosperity, harmony, peace and happiness.

S.F.G.C was established in 1992, with only one course (BA). The college has grown phenomenally during the past two decades and now it offers undergraduate courses in Arts, Commerce, Physical Science, Life Science and Computer Science; and the Postgraduate course in Management (MBA) and Commerce (M.Com.).

The establishment of S.F.G.C signalled a sea-change in the educational scenario of Bengaluru and a boon, especially, to the aspirants from North Bengaluru.

Professionally managed by the SET, and affiliated to Bengaluru University, the college is managed by a governing council of eminent academicians and management experts who benchmark quality targets and ensure that they are achieved by the college.
