Ramjas College was established in the year 1970. It is located in the north campus, University Enclave, New Delhi, India and is affiliated to the University of Delhi. The college was formed by the great philanthropist and educationist, Raj Kedar Nath.
The motto of the university is ‘knowledge has no comparison’, it is one of the oldest and prominent colleges in India with students from various states and countries.
It is an eminent institute which provides various degrees and courses to the students since a decade. It has been termed as a co-educational knowledge which provides holistic education to the students which can go beyond academic excellence.
The lush green urban campus is surrounded by trees around the red building and has been titled as Rainforest. The college offers more than 35 courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Other than its academic proficiency it is also famous for its extra-curricular platforms like debating club, The Dramatics society, Music society, fashion society, gender forum and many more.
It has recognized and approved by UGC and NAAC.
Application and Admission Procedure
How to Apply:
In order to apply for Ramjas College, candidates need to register themselves with Delhi University first. In order to register with DU:
- Candidates need to visit the official website of Delhi University
- Click on “Apply For registration to UG Admission 2017-2018”
- New users need to sign up
- Candidates then need to fill in application details
- After which they have to click on register
Admission Procedure
Admission to Ramjas college is based on the cut offs released by the college. If the score of the candidate in the 12th boards is equal to or above the cut off marks released by the college then candidates can come to the college directly and secure admission on verification of documents and payment of fees.
Documents which need to be verified will include
- Class 12th boards mark sheet, 10th boards pass certificate
- Character and transfer certificate
- ID proof
For admission in post graduate courses, the marks of the candidate secured in the bachelors degree will be considered.
Hostel and Facilities
Being one of the oldest college in Delhi, the college has state-of-art infrastructure within a very spacious campus. The hostel facilities are available only to non-local residents and the admissions are given based on merit cum interview.
Facilities include well-furnished common living room, gymnasiums with subscriptions to many journals. The cooperative mess is controlled by the hostel residents. It organises the inter hostel day-night cricket matches and other cultural events, movies, seminars, trips and talks.
The other features of Ramjas include library, fitness centre, medical facilities, support services and student activity centre.

Remarks
One of the best experience that college gives. Teachers are friendly and humble with great knowledge and experience. There is always a friendly environment in the college. Students are also good. I think it is the best college of north campus.
Entrance Exam
There was no entrance exam I got admission on the basis of cut off marks. The cut off is very high so you need to score very high marks in your higher secondary education. I opted this college because it has good academic rank and it's a north campus college.
Fees
As the college is under DU, The fee of the college was manageable for everybody. Also the college offers scholarships to deserving students
Placements
Don't know about internships opportunities but till now in 5th semester 4 companies have come in college. The Maximum package was 5L
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel infrastructure & canteen facilities were really good condition & awesome food rendered by canteen vendor.

Campus Life
My college experience has been great and worth remembering. The college provided me great exposure in both academics as well as extra curricular activities. The environment of the college is very good. The teachers and students of this college are very good in nature.
Academics
We had 25 marks every semester, for each paper for internal tests. And 75 marks for final exams. We used to have either 2 tests(10 marks each) or 1 test and one assignment (10 marks each) and 5 marks for overall attendance in that semester. These internal tests didn't leave us with a hectic schedule as such. It was still manageable.
Internships

During my time, there were no scholarships and loans. Though I think situation has now changed.
Remarks
In comparison to other universities the facilities provided here are great. Though the management of the college is a bit laid back and it should work on it as there is not quick action to any problem. Our session completes later which delays our exams.
Entrance Exam
I took admission based on my MP PET entrance test under which I had scored around 130 marks. The marks of class 12th are also considered. I chose this as it one of the best universities in my state.
Fees
Fees are very feasible when compared to other universities . The Fees of around 18k per semester .Scholarships are offered to Students those belong to. The college also provide scholarship on semester toppers.
Placements
Placement from campus itself are average. 70% students are placed from each branch every year. All the major recruiting companies come to our college for placements. The packages with which students are placed that are also good. Average package of all students in more than 2,80,000 every year
Hostel and Facilities
The hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls in the campus itself and they are at minimum walking distance from our campus. Good equips and facilities are available in hostel. The food facilities are average though but remaining environment is amazing.
Alumni
Alumni network of the college is pretty strong. We get to meet them once in a while. Alumni do contribute for our colleges also. Our seniors are really helpful and some of them even remain in touch. They also have interactive day each year as alumni celebration in which all passed outs come.
Faculty
Most of them PH’d their respective subject and also have a lot of exposure in the industry and they are very keen on passing that to us. They teach us in easy language so that is understandable to all.
Campus Life
My college is average in terms of extra curricular genreally. Other than the fest there is no as such platform for studebts so that they can explore their other talents in front of college. Our college doesn't organise any extra curricular activities beyond college.
Academics
Not really. I dont feel tired after the day is over infact the labs are quite interesting. We understand our practicals really well. We have mid sems exam in every 2 months and end semester in every 6 months.
Internships
They provide us with all resources and facilities that are required for our training and experience with real industrial problems. There is no fee charges applicable for it for college students itself. I experienced very good internship experience.
Loans and Scholarships
Scholarships are available for underprivileged students . Also, the state government provides scholarship for reserved categories. There is a UBI branch in the campus which provides students loans I think.
