Mata Sundari College is a constituent college of University of Delhi and was established in 1967 by Delhi Sikhs Gurudwara Management committee. The motto of the college is –truth is the highest virtues and true living is higher still.
It is NAAC and UGC recognised college exclusively for girls. The college offers UG courses, admission for which is based on merit of 10+2 score. The cut off is given by the University of Delhi and vary between the courses. The interested candidates need to be registered in the UG admission portal.
Apart from providing higher education in the field of Art and Commerce, it is a centre for promotion of Punjabi language and culture. The college has a consistently decent record of placements with companies like Urban Clap, Maruti Suzuki, Concnetrix, and PAN Athrva offering placements to the students.
Apart from bringing renowned names for recruitment the placement committee organises regular skill building workshops and talk shows for the students.
Application and Admission Procedure
Mata Sundari College offers a number of UG courses. The admissions to all the courses are done on the basis of the certain cutoff criteria set up by the college. The cutoff list is on the basis of the result of the qualifying exam. Through this result the admission eligibility is checked. There are two modes of admission either online or offline.
HOW TO APPLY:
- The candidates who wish to get admission in the college need to fill the Common Pre-Admission Form.
- There is no entrance test for admissions.
- The merit list for the admissions to the respective courses is declared on the official website.
- After the declaration of the cutoff lists, the student needs to report to the college allotted to the candidate.
- The allotment of seats in the college is done on the basis of choices filled by the candidates.
- The candidate will also have to fill the college admission form and the University enrollment form to complete the admission process.
- The candidate also needs to submit the documents required like transfer certificate, migration certificate and also submit the copy of other required documents.

Hostel:
Mata Sundari College is a well-known and reputed off-campus college of Delhi University which is situated in the heart of Delhi. This college provides limited quality residential facilities along with the dining facility to its students.
It also provides in-house laundry services at a very low charge. Apart from these, there is a college canteen which serves quite good and fresh food.
Other Facilities:
This college has a large central library along with reading room and a world class Auditorium. Apart from these, this college provides many outdoor sports facilities such as volleyball, cricket, badminton, football etc.
It has separate well-organized labs for different subjects like chemistry, physics, computer etc.. Besides these facilities, this university has a very good placement cell or wings which help the students to get their dream jobs.
Moreover, students of this college form various communities and they also organize various workshops, quiz competitions, musical concerts etc.

Campus Life
Campus life is fabubulous as I have heard from my friends and the lab sports and competitive exams are there whenever they have for the competitions. They help every person whether the student is rich or poor.
Academics
Annual examination held and quarterly exams held, some competitive exams also held time to time in college for students.
Internships
No companies visited the college there is no process of that but the experience ofinternship is very good and students should try it out.
Loans and Scholarships
scholar ship facility given to needy and bright students. Yes there are scholarships provide by the college but it depends on percentage. And college didn't help in getting loans.
Remarks
Overall i wouldn't say that the college is bad but yes there are some things which the management should change. The management is also very strict and does not allow much freedom to the students which it should. Also the practical exposure here is limited/.
Entrance Exam
I did not had to give any entrance test for my course i just got in through my class 12th score where i had scored 92%. But i was called for a casual interview where i was asked basic questions about myself. Since, i was doing CS by the side so the course was not difficult for me at all.
Fees
The fee structure was moderate and feasible the fee was very normal for the course like all other colleges under delhi university. In have paid just around Rs 7,000 every year. The fee is very nominal so the college does not offer any scholarship.
Placements
The companies didn't come to our college for placement instead they come to north campus for placement.The college faced issues regarding the placement as they have to search for the jobs themselves. This is the duty of college to provide college placement before a student pass out or get his/her Degree.
Hostel and Facilities
There is no dedciated hoste of the college butg yes it can arrange accomodation with hostel of other colleges of the delhi university. I do not have much knowledge as i did not opt for hostel as i stay in delhi only.
Alumni
I never had any Alumni meet but i met some of the Senior student who were eager to help i we require any help whether its books or any other.I didn't have a good experience with my seniors as i kept myself limited to classes and didn't like to waste time after classes and rush to home after that.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is good in most of the sense just as i have said earlier too that they lack the practical exposure and just stick to the book. The faculty for law & acounts subject was good, and for other subjects were average as they do not cover the whole syllabus practically the standard of college was average with respect to practical training and extra curricular activities.
Campus Life
The campus life is good as far as all colleges are in same campus since my college was away from campus, the life wasnt that good in terms of food available, entertainment facilities available around college, and shopping areas and party lounges. All such facilities are available in north Campus where most of the colleges are located nearby.
Academics
The exam is structure is mostly common for all the college of the university. There is mid and end terms every semester and there are 6 semesters for the bcom coures. The days were not very hectic as we used to have all the exams based on theory. We used to go to computer labs for computer practical, projects and viva.
Internships
No internship was provided from the college side and we have to do internship on our own if we were interested in doing. Also, we had to get approval from the department head for the internship and also show them gthe offer letter and certificate of internship. Most of the students who did internship including me also got some good stiipend.
Loans and Scholarships
The fee is so low that there is hardly any need for scholarship or loan. And i dont know anybody who had availed the loan or scholarship facility.
