College Of Engineering Chengannur (CEC) Alappuzha

The College of Engineering Chengannur is situated in Chengannur, Alappuzha, India. It is a government institute established in 1993. College operates under Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) which is part of Government of Kerala.

College is located centrally in Chengannur town. It has affiliation with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and has approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Institute offers four undergraduate and two postgraduate courses. It provides B.Tech degrees in Computer Science and Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The current enrollment exceeds 2000 students supported by around a hundred experienced faculty members.

Facilities at the college include well-equipped smart classrooms a library with many resources and computer labs with high-speed internet. There is also a language lab for enhancing communication skills. College has four hostels available for students.

Admissions to undergraduate programs rely on the All Kerala Common Entrance Examination organized by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. For M.Tech courses candidates must qualify for the GATE entrance exam.

College holds accreditation from National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and is one of five engineering colleges in Kerala selected for Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP). It ranks as second-best college under CUSAT and is listed among top 20 out of 137 engineering colleges in Kerala.
