Don Bosco Institute Of Technology (DBIT) Bangalore

Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT) is a private engineering college in Bangalore. It was established in 2001. It is located in Kumbalagodu Village on a 36-acre campus. DBIT is unaided private institute. 

The institute offers courses in in Civil, Mechanical, Technical and Management fields. It offers undergraduate B.Tech and postgraduate M.Tech and MBA courses. B.Tech program includes over nine specializations including a B.E course in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. The flagship program is the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.

DBIT is affiliated with Visveswaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

For admission DBIT accepts scores from the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) for students from Karnataka. Non-Karnataka students can use their COMEDK-UGET scores for admissions. 

The institute has many facilities including a library, hostels, a mess, medical and sports facilities and transportation services.

DBIT has received recognition in rankings. It ranked 69th for B.Tech by IIRF in 2023 and 125th among private B.Tech colleges in India by Outlook in 2023. 

Placements - Institute has good industry connections and hosts campus placements with companies like TCL, Samsung, Google, Wipro and Flipkart. Highest salary package offered is 27 LPA and average is around 10 LPA.
