The Maharaja Institute of Technology Mysore is a private engineering college. It is located about 3 kilometers behind KR Mills. College was established in 2007 by Maharaja Education Trust which was formed in 2005.

The Government of Karnataka and the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi recognize the institute. It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in Belagavi. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) also accredits the institute.

The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Undergraduate programs include Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology. Postgraduate programs comprise MBA, MCA and M.Tech in many specializations.
