Gandhinagar Institute of Technology is located in Moti Bhoyan Gandhi Nagar. The Platinum Foundation Trust established it in December 2006. It is a private and unaided institute.

The institute is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University. The All India Council for Technical Education has approved the institute.

The institute offers different courses. It provides Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) programs in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Engineering and Information Technology. It also offers Master of Engineering (M.E) programs in Software Engineering and Thermal Engineering with CAD/CAM specialization. An MBA program is available in Finance, Marketing, Information Systems and Human Resource.
