Vidya Academy Of Science And Technology (VAST) Thrissur

Vidya Academy of Science and Technology, located in Thrissur, is an engineering college established in 2003. It is a private institute. It is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

VAST offers a Bachelor of Technology degree with specializations in many engineering disciplines. Specializations include Production, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication and Mechanical Engineering. It also provides a Master's in Computer Application (MCA) along with MTech courses and PhD programs since 2011.

College accommodates around 1900 students and has 112 faculty members. It features separate hostels for boys and girls, a cafeteria, a library, an auditorium and both outdoor and indoor sports facilities.

Admissions to B.Tech programs require scores from the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical exam or JEE. For M.Tech admission relies on GATE scores. MCA admissions depend on marks from MCA Entrance Exam of Kerala.

VAST is approved by All India Council for Technical Education. It has ISO 9001-2008 certification and recognition from the Government of Kerala. The college's EEE ME and CE undergraduate programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation.

VAST has received Best Chapter award from ISTE Kerala Section in 2016. It is a member of professional associations like Computer Society of India and Indian Society for Technical Education.
