B.V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology

It is an institution established in 1947 in Karnataka by the Karnatak Lingayat Education Society, Belgaum. It achieved an academically autonomous status from University Grant Commission (UGC) in 2007 after which it transformed into Karnatak Lingayat Education University and is now recognised as a private university by the state of Karnataka.

The university aims at providing high-quality educational instruction at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, encouraging interdisciplinary research, and engaging in active socio-economic development activities. Through these the institution aims at emerging out as a leading university for higher education, recognised for its innovation, brilliance, excellence and its impact on the society.

Spread over an area of over 50 acres, it can arguably boast of a vibrant student life comprising various facilities for sports, active clubs and extra-curricular assignments tailor-made for an all around development of students.

An array of undergraduate and post graduate courses is offered to be chosen from including fields in engineering, architecture and business administration.

Among the awards and accreditations that the students of the university belt, the institution has been ranked number 1 for “Outstanding Institutional Transformation in Engineering Education” by IUCEE (India US Council for Engineering Education).

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The aesthetic campus spreads in an area of 50 acres with modern classrooms and labs.

There are segregated hostels available for both boys and girls. The mess and canteen serves nutritious food. Hostel is surrounded by greenery for therapeutic purposes. Free wi-fi is available at the hostels. The rooms are well maintained and well furnished with all basic requirements.

Other facilities

The college has many sports clubs for games like Cricket, Volleyball etc. It also has nicely stocked Library and a well equipped Gymnasium.

The college has its personal Community Radio Station called Dhwani BVB 90.4 FM. It discusses the how various initiatives that can be taken to serve the community.

The Research and Development Centre keeps making innovative stuff. Renowned names such as Mercedes-Benz, Walmart, Accenture and others have recruited students from the college.

Several skills exhibitions keep taking place at the campus which lately saw the inventions of 3D Car Design, Ecokart and a Humanoid Robot called Ajit 1.0. Several international lectures and conferences also take place in the lecture halls throughout the year.
