Netaji Subhas Institute Of Technology (NSIT) Delhi

Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology began functioning in the year 1983 and was formerly known as the Delhi Institute of Technology. The College attained the autonomous status under the Government of New Delhi and is permanently affiliated to the University of Delhi.

The Institution offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs, which includes B.E degree covering 7 branches, M.Tech degree specializing in 8 branches and Ph.D offered across 11 departments.

Students can get admitted to the undergraduate courses based on the scores obtained in JEE main, while M.Tech program screens students through their scores obtained in GATE examination. For PG alone, upon shortlisting the applicants, they are further invited for a written test and a personal interview round.

The Campus has setup many technical / non technical clubs, community service societies, recreational clubs, literary society and automotive clubs for students to experiment, to expand their horizons and display their talents.

Application and Admission Procedure

Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology is offers various courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels.

For being eligible for admission, the candidate must have obtained minimum 60% marks in 10+2 or qualifying examination from science background. Also, the candidate must have obtained 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Engineering Courses

Once eligible, the admissions are solely based on the merit of the candidate in JEE (Mains) examination. All admissions are strictly based on merit basis.

Post graduate Courses

For post-graduate courses, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from any recognised university with minimum 55% marks. The admission, however, is strictly based on the performance in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

Doctorate Courses

NSIT offers courses at doctorate level also. The candidate must have a master’s degree in the relevant field with minimum 60% marks. The further selection process for eligible candidates includes a written test followed by a micro presentation and personal interview.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel:

The campus is spread on 146 acres with a metro station and shopping complex nearby.

There are six hostel buildings of which four are allotted to boys and two for girls. Each hostel has its own mess which serves nutritious food. 4 on-campus canteens are present as well.

The rooms have two beds with 24 hrs water and electricity supply, everyday.

Fully secure, each hostel has its own warden. For the first year students paid laundry facility is available and free washing machine access is provided on selected days. Free medical facility can be availed anytime.

Other facilities:

There is a common TV room, game rooms and sports court available. Guest rooms are available for relatives. Two banks and ATMs are part of the campus.

Students can participate in an array of literary, technical and social clubs. Career orientation workshops and ecology/ society sustenance events are held on the campus as well.
