Vedavyasa Institute Of Technology Malappuram

Vedvyasa Institute of Technology is governed by Vedvyasa Trust. The institute is affiliated to Kerala/ Calicut Technological University and is approved by All India Council of Technical education.

Since its establishment VVIT has come a long way in the journey of providing excellence in education.

The institute offers various under graduate and post graduate courses to its students and is currently divided into 7 departments, namely:

• Computer science and engineering
• Civil engineering
• Mechanical engineering
• Electrical and electronics engineering
• Electronics and communication engineering
• MBA department
• Science and humanities

The college also offers various modern infrastructural facilities to its students such as hostels, computer labs, sports facilities, canteen etc.

Some of the major recruiters of the institute are Genpact, Cybrosys, Spectrum etc. VVIT has an excellent staff providing both theoretical and practical knowledge to the students in order to provide them greater exposure in the field of technology.

Application and Admission Procedure

A minimum of 50% marks is necessary for students looking forward to apply to the college. It is also mandatory for them to secure 50% marks on Physics, Math and Chemistry separately.

50% seats of the college are reserved for students who are appearing for the Commisioner for Entrance Examinations. Once the students have cleared the exam with the cut-off required to apply for the college then they can apply to the college directly. The students will be selected based on the merit list enlisted by the college.

The remaining seats of the college are in the hands of the management.

Application Procedure

• Students who want to apply for the MBA programs need to appear for CMAT/CUMAT/ ASMIK MAT.
• Gate is mandatory for students who are willing to enroll for the M.Tech programs
• Diploma Examination and Entrance test is the gateway to get admission for the Lateral entry candidates.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The Institute provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. These are located very close to the main building, and are located in four-storied buildings.

The rooms are shared, either amongst two people or four people.

The rates of the rooms are as such

• Double Occupancy- Rs. 45, 000/- + Rs. 5000 (Caution Deposit)
• Four in a Room- Rs. 40,000/- + Rs. 5000 (Caution Deposit)

Mess facilities are also provided in the college Canteen, located near the ladies’ hostel it is a three-storied building in which the ground floor is for girls, the first floor is for faculty and staff members, and the second floor is for boys. The food provided is vegetarian, and the mode of catering is self-service.

Vedavyasa Institute of Technology’s campus is located in the city of Calicut, Kerala.

It provides students with various facilities such as a mini-stadium, outdoor sports grounds, a PG Block, various workshops and labs, a language lab, a computer centre, transportation facilities, a state-of-the-art library, as well as HR Training and Counselling.
