I gave COMEDK-UGET and secured 5,805 rank which got me admission into BE Information Science & Engineering. Students can also give KCET for admission into SIT.

Fees

The college fees is a descent and in sync with other colleges of similar demeanor around Rs Rs.70,000 per annum.

Placements

Our college has a placement wing which provides placement to most of the students. The average package is of Rs.3.5 lakhs per year and the highest package is of Rs.11 lakhs per year. TCS is the mass recruiter. Amazon, Sony, Bharat Forge, and Oracle are some other firms which visit the college.

Almost all the teachers have a teaching experience of 8-10 years. Around 50% of the teachers have PhD.

There are 5 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. They can accommodate more than 2000 students. The hostel fees is around Rs.65,000 per year.

Admission to Siddaganga institute of technology is based on written entrance exam followed by an interview. There is a minimum eligibility criteria for admission to various its UG courses which is minimum of 45%marks in class 12.

Fees

The college offers various UG courses in Engineering whose fees is around 2.5 lakhs. For M.Tech courses fee is quite low which is approx 1.2 lakhs in total excluding other miscellaneous expenses.

Placements

Placement scenario of the college is pretty good, almost 75-80% of its students gets placed every year. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM have visited the college in their previous academic year,The highest package was around of rupees 9 lakhs, which is quite satisfactory.

Faculty of the college is highly qualified, guiding the students well in their academics. The teacher to student ratio is approx 50:1, though the teachers are always available for clearing doubts post class and during exam time.

College campus is good to an average level, providing basic facilities but in a good way. It has library , classrooms are good , canteen food is satisfactory , well equipped labs are there and hostel facility for both boys and girls which is just average, one can survive well in that kind of hostel.

Siddganga Institute of Technology is a very good college. They give admission only if the student has cleared both the CET examination and the counselling session.

Fees

The fee is a bit on the higher end. They charge around Rs 175000 per year excluding the hostel fee which is Rs 66000 per year approximately.

Placements

The placement is good overall. IT sector companies mainly visit the college. Majority of the students gets placed with an average 3.5 lakh package which might increase upto 11 lakh.

Siddaganga Institute of Technology is one of the top private engineering colleges in Karnataka. For admission to their UG Computer Science and Engineering course the KCET scores is required. The cutoff for the course was around 8,900 in 2017.

Fees

For UG Computer Science and Engineering course the fees are around 70,000 every year. Scholarship options are available for backward classes. If you take admission through CET then depending on your score you might get some government scholarship.

Placements

The college does have internship opportunities but you have to pay for it. There are government internship opportunities as well. Placements are great in this college especially in the IT departments where there is 90% student placement. Average salary package is around 3 lakhs and highest package offered was 11 lakhs. Many top companies come for placements - Amazon, Oracle, MU Sigma, Mahindra, IBM, Sony etc.

There are different hostels for different years. You have the choice of double or triple occupancy rooms. Hostel food is alright although they serve North Indian and South Indian food. The Hostel fees are about 66,000 for every semester.

Classes start at 8am and continue till 5pm. The schedule is really hectic and strict. For a semester every subject has lab assignments, internals and final examination. The faculty is qualified and provides notes which are very helpful. They are friendly and supportive.

For the B. E. Course my college accepts both CET and COMED-K scores and we are required to pass the class XII boards with a minimum of 45%marks, from any board recognised by Visvesvaraya Technological University. At the time of admissions we had to submit 3 copies of our passport size photo, CET/COMED-K rank score and admit card copies, 6 copies each of our class X and XII board exam marksheets, copies of transfer/ migration certificate and copies of address proof such as Voter ID card or Aadhaar card.

Fees

Our fees are reasonable compared to similar courses in other colleges. They are around Rs 47000 per year

Placements

Our college placement scenario is rather good. Last year (2017), my seniors got internships in Tally and Bosch and many were placed in companies such as- Titan, Oracle, Toyota. The highest pay package was offered by Walmart with a whooping Rs 13.7 lacs per annum.

I don't use the hostel but our college has separate hostels for boys and girls. We also have a great sports zone,canteen,auditorium, huge library. Our annual college fest is known as Manthan and we really enjoy it each year. We also have a college magazine called Bitannica.

Siddaganga Institute of Technology is one of the best colleges for Engineering. Its B.Tech department is good with hard-working faculty. The criteria for admission into it requires passing marks in 10+2 with PCM. KCET/COMED-K entrance exam score is also needed.

The college indeed offers a good B.E Course. In order to seek admission for the same, one has to appear for KCET Exam which is usually held in the month of April and also one should have an aggregate of 45% in 10+2.

Fees

B.E is a four year course. And the fee per year is around Rs 71,000. Scholarship is available for SC/ST students and no scholarship for non Karnataka students.

Placements

Since Bangalore encompasses offices of various Tech Companies, therefore finding an internship in the city is not a difficult task. Companies like MBED technologies and Bleuming technology are willing to take students for internship paying them a decent stipend of about Rs 5,000 per month. SIT has a good alumni network who are willing to help their juniors to reach places.

SIT, Bangalore has one of the best Infra. And specially the hostels with separate dining halls for Veg and Non- Veg food is what I like the most. There are 7 hostel Blocks which pretty well furnished.
