Alvas Institute Of Engineering And Technology (AIET) Dakshina Kannada

Alvas Institute Of Engineering And Technology (AIET) is a private engineering institute located in Moodbidri, approximately 33 km from Mangalore. The campus covers 30 acres and includes a notable herbal garden. The institute was established in 2008 by the Alva's Education Foundation which Dr. M Mohan Alva founded. 

AIET is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and is recognized by government of Karnataka. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

AIET offers Bachelor's Degrees in different engineering disciplines, like Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, IT Enabled Services and Civil Engineering. It also has a postgraduate program in Business Administration. The institute has six recognized Research Centers. Its student population is around 26 supported by a faculty strength of 410. AIET collaborates with different popular national institutes like TIFR Mumbai, IIT Bombay and IIT Madras.

Institute provides many infrastructural facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, hostels with modern amenities and Wi-Fi, a food court, transportation, a library and a Digital Library.

Admissions to the B. Tech program require candidates to pass the class 12 exam with Physics and Chemistry achieving a minimum of 45% marks. Candidates from SC/ST need 40% and selections are based on the KCET written test. For MBA program, candidates must have a graduate degree with at least 50% marks or 45% for SC/ST. The selection is based on KMAT/GMAT/CAT exams.

AIET is accredited by NBA and positioned in the 151-300 band in the NIRF Innovation ranking for 2023. It is ranked 135 in Times Engineering Institutes Ranking Survey 2023. 

Placements - Placement cell at AIET has achieved a 100% placement record in previous years. All students received job offers after interviews.
