Entrance Exam

I had appeared for JEE Mains, rank that I secured in was around 66k that helped me get into this University. Once I got admitted I did not have to go through an Interview Process. Since my passion lies in computers, I really wanted to learn more in this field.

Fees

The fee structure is quite affordable in general, which comes to around Rs.80, 000 to Rs.90, 000, and the students who have secured a high rank in the entrance exam get a relaxation in the fees. The fees are inclusive of all expenses and the students are not charged extra money throughout the year.

Placements

Around 75 to 80 percent of the total students get placed in companies like HP, IBM, Google, Bosch, Mahindra, etc. and many other multi-national companies. The average salary package varies from Rs.5 lakhs to Rs.6 lakhs.

Hostel and Facilities

The hostel rooms have the facilities and amenities that make the student’s stay quite comfortable. The rooms have the capacity to accommodate about 2 to 3 students per room. The quality of the food served in the mess has a lot of variety giving the student a chance to choose from non-vegetarian and vegetarian food every day. The total hostel fees, which cover all the costs, come to around Rs.1 lakh.

Alumni

The students have an opportunity to interact with the alumni through interactive communication platforms provided by the University. The alumni have played an important role in the all-round development of the students and the college.

Faculty

The college faculty is highly qualified with a minimum of 20 years of experience in the teaching profession. The teachers are very interactive and have a knack of getting the best out of students through their unique teaching qualities.

Campus Life

The campus is the best place for a student who wishes to participate in extra-curricular activities while paying equal attention to academics. Students from all departments can take part in all the extra-curricular activities like the Annual Sports Meet and other events conducted by the Robotics Club, Artificial Intelligence Club, Management Club, Entrepreneurial Cell, etc. Clubs like the Samarpana Club for Social Causes and the Rotaract Club conduct interesting events for the students. The gender ratio is unbiased in MBA compared to courses like B.E, M. Tech, and M.C.A where girls are more in strength with respect to boys. The campus is a perfect mix of people from different parts of the country. The University organizes the annual Technical and Cultural Events, although there are always several pre-planned events organized to be conducted in that particular academic year. The events are conducted at a large scale with the help of the authorities without whom the events wouldn’t have been successful.

Academics

The MBA Course is divided into 4 semesters in which the first three semesters have 6 papers each carrying 24 credits per semester. The student will also have to do an Internship which carries 8 credits. In the last, that is the 4th semester, the student will have to submit a project which carries 10 credits. The CGPA system is followed during computation of results. This course has enabled me to gain an in-depth knowledge of computers through the practical based learning sessions that occupy a major portion of the curriculum. Elective subjects like High Programming Languages, Pointer Programming, etc. also help in the learning process.

Internships

The University provides a number of internships. I have not taken up any internship provided by the University since I am already doing one outside the college. The internship has helped me gain practical knowledge which I wouldn’t have been able to obtain through rote learning. It has increased my interest in the subject. I also receive a stipend of Rs.10, 000 at the end of the term.

Loans and Scholarships

The University gives scholarship to the students belonging to the lower income groups. It also gives loans. I am one of the beneficiaries of these schemes given by the college. There is also a special annual Huawei Scholarship that awards Rs.75, 000 to 8 students with high academic performance.

Remarks

The college is perfect place with a blend of academic and other activities. Considering the fact that it is new university it has emerged a great colleges.

Entrance Exam

Though my jee mains marks I got admitted, I had scored 114 and got admission here. I hav heard great things bout this college also it is near my home so I decided to take admission in this.

Fees

The fee for the whole 4 year btech course is around Rs 3.5 lakhs. This does not include any hostel or other fee. For that you have to pay additional. Considering the reputation of the college the fee charged is feasible.

Placements

The placement rate of the college is over 85%. It not only invites company but also helps us getting placed with a pre-placement training. This includes aptitude tests, mock interview, skills development classes and more. Top recruiting companies are tcs, ibm, hcl, wipro, Infosys etc. The average package is around 3-5 lakhs.

Hostel and Facilities

Yes, the college sdfoes offer hostel facilities to both girls and boys. the fee for the hostel is around 90k for 1 year. This includes the mess charges. The mess food it ok and the hostel has all the basic facilities.

Alumni

Since the college is new we do not have an alumni base as of yet. But I am pretty sure the management will something about it in the upcoming years. My seniors were the best especially during the exam season they shared their notes and previous year papers as well.

Faculty

The faculty is one of the USP of this college. They are well educated and even have corporate experience. Thy help us out in every way they can and their classes are not text book reads but they make sure important concepts are made understood with the help of case studies, diagrams etc. I am pretty satisfied with the faculty here.

Campus Life

The college has a great infra and the labs are very well maintained. There is a library with lot of books as well. Regular competitions and events are conducted o that the students don’t get bore with just studying. There are few clubs in which students can participate and explore their hidden talents.

Academics

The exam structure includes internal external exams. The college follows the semester system and each sem we have mid sem and final sem. Though final marks are just based on written exams but also quiz, class participation, assignment submission. Since, labs are very important part, the candidate should attend them regularly. The overall attendance of the candidate should be above the min otherwise he will not be allowed to sit in the exams.

Internships

Internship are mandatory for the students. It has a six month industrial internship. The students here learn how to work in a corporate environment an make use of there theoretical knowledge in practical use.

Loans and Scholarships

The students can get the required assistance from the banks. Also, the college has a lot of scholarship program for the needy as well as for ones who have scored well in academics.

Remarks

Overall I would say that the college is pretty good and also is one of the top technological colleges in the state. The college might lack some of the facilities but otherwise it’s a great place to learn and excel.

Entrance Exam

For admission into the btech program, candidates have to go score the cut off marks in the JEE exam. I gave the exam and score 18,262 rank. For admission into the M.tech courses, or GATE score.

Fees

The college fee is pretty reasonable considering the status of the college. I paid around Rs 80,000 per year. There are some additional charges of around Rs 5,000-10,000 which needs to be paid every year.

Placements

The college has a dedicated placement cell. It recently started providing CMR life skills to students which involves training for communication skills, team management and even body language improvement. Lot of companies for the placement and the average salary offered by them was around 3-4 lakhs. The college also provides training before the placement season begins which is very helpful.

Hostel and Facilities

Yes, the college offers residential facilities to students. Though, the college is not located in the college campus but a bit far but to and fro bus facility is provided by the college. The fee for the hostel is around Rs 60,000. Students can also get PG’s near the college at a price of Rs Rs 4,000 50 5,000. As per my experience, staying the hostel is more economical and fun.

Alumni

The interaction with the seniors is limited. But they very helpful if you need assistance with your assignments and projects.

Faculty

Most of the faculty in the college are research degree holders. Though some of them are rotten apples and do not teach much. But I guess that’s the cene of every college. Other teachers are very helpful and even go out of their way to focus on the issues a student might face.

Campus Life

Events like fests do not happen in this college. Small events happen now and then but students hardly attend them. The gender ration is pretty descent as compared to an average engineering college. The highlight of the college is the Annual day which is celebrated every year. Students do not get to a chance to organize events in the college. All events are sponsored and conducted by the college bodies itself. Therefore, on this end, the college lacks the proper exposure. But never the less some technical events are organized and an annual function is also there.

Academics

The college follows the semester system of exam structure. Each year starts in the month of June-July and is divided into 2 semesters. In between students have their mid semesters and externals.

Internships

Students can choose internships of their own and pursue them. Though college from its own end does not offer any internship neither do any companies visit for internships. But the college does provide the required leaves for the internship duration, if you provide the right documents and a letter of joining from the concerned company representative.

Loans and Scholarships

As per my knowledge, the college offers some kind of scholarship to meritorious students and students with weak financial background. You can contact the college for more info on this matter.

Entrance Exam

For admission into the BA course, I did not give any entrance test. Admission is just based on the class 12th marks. The minimum eligibility criteria is more than 60% in 12th standard. Candidates might also have to give a personal interview.

Fees

The total fee for my course is around Rs 1.2 lakhs including other small expenses. The fee is pretty cheap and the quality of education is also very good.

Placements

I do not have any much knowledge about the placements. Post graduation students either go for lectureship or postgraduate. Though I would recommend students to go for masters degree if they want to get a good job.

Hostel and Facilities

The college hostel is great. AC & non-Ac rooms are provided to the students. The fee for the hostel is around 1.3 lakhs. The rooms are very spacious and have the basic furniture.

Alumni

Students have to connect with the alumni on their own. Though the college organizes a alumni meets but very few alumni turn up for the event.

Faculty

The faculty is very helpful and keep on motivating the students for their betterment. All of the faculty is very qualified and most of them have their PH.d’s in literature. They also gave us their contact details to us in case we need any help.

Campus Life

The college has a number of clubs in which students can enroll and bring out the hidden talent. I was also part of the literary, photography and dance clubs. I enjoyed and learned a lot there.

Academics

There are 2 semesters every year. There are two main exams i.e mid sem and end sem. End sem carry the highest weightage of marks. Marks are also given for assignments and project work so the students have to submit them on time.

Internships

Internship are provided to other courses students. Being a literature students we did not had any internships. Most of the internships are provided by the university itself but if students want they can go for internships of their choice. They were also offered stipend.

Loans and Scholarships

I don’t this so the college provides any loan. A lot of scholarships are provided for the college it is even provided to girl students. Scholarships are provided upto 75%.

Remarks

Overall the college is great and the management is also great. Just the management needs to focus more on the education loans and fee waivers as many bright students cannot afford the fee.

Entrance Exam

This is one of the best college sin the whole state when it comes to mca courses. For admission no entrance is required but you are supposed to have your bachelors degree from relative field and then you can just want in to the university with all your docuymnets and get admission.

Fees

The college is very cooperative when it comes of payment of fee. The student can pay the fee annually, half yearly or even once in 3 months i.e in installments. This helps a lot to students who do not come from rich family backgrounds.

Placements

The colleges’ placement cell prepares us for the placement season with mock interview and skill development classes. Over half the batch got placed in companies like hcl, tc, wipro. The package offered is around 2-5 lakhs.

Hostel and Facilities

Being a day scholar I am not much aware of the hostel details but most of my friends were happy there and the food was also good as per them.

Alumni

Alumni meets are organized almost every other week and here we get a chance to meet the alumni and ask them questions and also seek their guidance on our career. My seniors have been great they have been helpful in every situation be it in academics or personal. There is absolute no ragging.

Faculty

The faculty of the college is one of its biggest assets. They have been very kind and understanding. They treat all the students equally.

Campus Life

The college organizes a lot of events for students to participate in. There are various competitions going on and students who win are also given prizes. The gender ratio of the college is almost equal the boys are slightly higher in number. There are also various sports events.

Academics

The college follows the semester system and each semester there are 3 exams. There are practical exams as well therefore you have maintain the attendance in labs as well as they also carry some marks.

Internships

As per my seniors internship is mandatory in the sixth semester and students have to prepare a report and submit and some marks will be provided based on that.

Loans and Scholarships

The scholarships are provided to the meritorious students and university toppers. Though I have heard that this is a very lengthy process and it takes a lot of time for students to get the scholarship amount. I have no knowledge of the education loan facility but since this is a reputed university, private banks might provide loan easily. Though I did not take any loan or get scholarship.

Remarks

My experience at the college has been one of the best experinces of my whole life. The college is very diverse with students from around the country and you get a mix culture of a lot of states which is really fun as you get to meet a lot of them and learn and lot from them

Entrance Exam

I got admission here based on my JEE marks I had scored 110 marks in JEE  and I knew it was niot a decent enough score to get into reputed institutes of India and this college was offering me admission with these marks So i decided to take admission here.

Fees

The fee for my course of the college is pretty reasonable as per me. Though i cannot speak for everybody as everone have different financial backgrounds. I have paid around Rs 80k per year exlusing the hostel and other misc chanrges.

Placements

Some of the companies which come in for placements regularly are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, HCL, Mphesis, Bosch, cognizant, Nagarro, Westin, Bisleri  etc. Our college prepares us in every step of the way, from personality development programs to aptitude test our college prepares us.

Yes, hostel facilities are provided for boy and girls. It is located inside the campus itself and the fee charged is around Rs 80k per year.

Alumni

Our college is really young with a few alumni base but the college takes it on himself and has built a alumni connect program. The seniors have been very supportive to me and till date are good friends of mine.

Faculty

All the faculties are really experienced in their field will good ties with the industries. They are one of the reasons why we see such good companies come in for placements. They are also very frank with us and joke around and tell us about thier college days. 

Campus Life

Campus life is amazing, not only you will explore the academic environment but also you will be provided a platform in various other aspects like the practical aspects, since the college has a state of the art practical labs and will also encourage you to take part in co-curricular activities for your future development.

Academics

Our exam structure includes internal evaluations as well as external evaluation. Various assignments, quizzes form the internal evaluation and Mid terms and annual test form the external component. There are practical exams as well which i hate the most as they are very tiering and i dont like them.

Internships

The college makes us do a compulsory internship of a duration of 6 months. This makes us learn how to work in an working environment which would be beneficial for us during placement drives and also in our career

Loans and Scholarships

Yes, the college does offer scolarships to meritorious as well as students who not financially sound but have the dedication of working hard and scoring good marks. I dont know much about the loan facility as i did not take any loan.
