The University of Kota is a public state university located in Kota. It was established in 2003 by the Government of Rajasthan. University is recognized by UGC.

University offers academic programs in six disciplines- Arts, Commerce and Management, Education, Law, Science and Social Science. Its admission policy is selective and based on entrance examinations. The university serves around 180 colleges with approximately 230,000 students from six districts- Kota, Bundi, Jhalawar, Baran, Karauli and Sawai Madhopur.

The facilities at university include a library a gymnasium and many playgrounds. There are also stadiums, swimming pools and badminton halls available in Kota City. The university holds a B Grade accreditation from NAAC and is approved by UGC and AICTE.
