Basaveshwar Engineering College is a technical institute located in Bagalkot. It was established in 1963. College occupies a campus that covers over 40 acres.

It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). The college offers undergraduate programs in civil, mechanical, electrical and computer science engineering. It also offers postgraduate programs like M.Tech MBA and MCA. The BE in Civil Engineering is its flagship course.

The college is part of the BVV Sangha which includes around 50,000 students and nearly 5,000 staff members across its institutes. It operates as a PG Center or Off-Campus Center under VTU.
