Sahodaran Ayyappan Smaraka SNDP Yogam College comes under the corporate management of SNDP Yogam Colleges. The Office of the corporate management is situated at Kollam. This is an aided college affiliated to Mahathama Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala in memorial obeisance to the great philosopher and social reformer Sahodaran Ayyappan, an ardent disciple of of Sree Narayana Guru to provide better, higher educational facilities mainly for the backward classes of the region.

The institution has a great tradition of producing meritorious students from its very inception. All through these years, the teacher community and the student community of the college have contributed the brick and tool towards the process of moulding a progressive intelligentsia free from caste and communal prejudices and social taboos.

Objectives :-

This college is established for providing educational opportunities for the young men and women of the country especially to the members of the Ezhava Community. It extends its service to the members of other communities also to the extent possible irrespective of caste or creed. The college aims at the integral personality development oriented education of the youth. In order to accomplish this special efforts are made to enable the students.:

General Rules For Admission And Withdrawal

1. Application for admission must be in the prescribed form, copies of which can be had from the college office on payment of Rs. 30/- each. ( Rs. 35/- by post)
2. All candidates selected for admission must produce before admission, their transfer certificate, conduct certificate from the school/college which they last attended, their SSLC book and their university pass certificate if they are applicants for BCA, BBA, and B. Com.
3. Students belonging to scheduled castes and tribes and converts (according to their SSLC book) need not pay any fees. Those students, as well as students belonging to other backward classes and converts and forward community students should produce community and income certificates from tahasildar at the time of admission if they intend to avail free concession.
4. The principal reserves the right to refuse admission to any applicant without assigning reasons. Those known to have indulged in violence in the college campus will not be admitted to a higher course or be permitted to complete their course of study.
5. Candidates will be considered as admitted only after the prescribed fees has been paid. The interview cards issued to them do not ensure admission.
6. Students from other universities should produce migration certificate from the respective universities/boards and eligibility certificate from the M G University.
