Lakshmibai College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi and is well-connected through several metro stations and bus-routes. The college is proud of its red-brick buildings, lawns adorned with trees and flowers, well-maintained sports grounds, staff-quarters, wireless Internet accessunder the University Wide Networking Programme, separate Internet connectivity, supplementary audio-video gadgets, two air conditioned lecture theatres, a furnished seminar room, a modern fully automated library using Libsys software, two well-equipped computer labs and an active placement cell.The library has undergone renovation and now has its own computer unit catering to the students and teaching faculty. The library is fully automated and is endowed with OPAC and scanner-guns for greater efficiency. The college is inclusive in its intent and actions , therefore SAFA is loaded on the systems of the computer lab for differently-abled students to help them learn typing skills. Wi-Fi connectivity has also been provided to the lab.

The University of Delhi has provided free laptops to all FYUP students and generated E-mail Ids for all of them. The institution has purchased original ORACLE IOG /IIG /WINDOWS 2000 server edition and online examination forms are handled through the DUCC Wi-Fi networking programme to ensure transparency.

They constantly endeavour to bring out the best in their students.Lakshmibai College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi that provides higher education to women only. It was established in 1965 and named in honour of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, the fearless warrior and patriot. The college is run by the Government of Delhi, and is located in the neighborhood of Ashok Vihar. It has multiple departments, including Bengali, Commerce, Economics, English, Hindi, History, Home Science (Food technology & Apparel Design and Construction), Mathematics, Music, Philosophy, Physical Education, Political Science, Punjabi, Sanskrit, and Sociology. It offers courses in the Humanities, Social Science and Commerce at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition to the three year long BA and BCom (Hons) courses. Undergraduate students can also enroll in a BA (Pass) and BCom (Pass) courses. Masters in Arts are offered with specializations in Philosophy, Political Science and Sanskrit.

The college has a library with a reading room. A college magazine is released annually, and students can contribute write-ups to the same in Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Bengali and Punjabi. The college also provides NCC (National Cadet Corp) to the students.

To name a few of themany academic accomplishments of the faculty: the Principal, Dr. Veena Gautam delivered a lecture at the Refresher Course organised by the Women’s Studies and Development Center, CPDHE entitled— Loriyon ke madhyam se Nari Hriday ki Abhibyakti. She has also to her credit a publication entitled— Bharatiya Lori Sahityaand has co-authored three books namely—(i) Bharatiya Lori Sahitya, (ii) Bharatiya Bal Sahitya Kosh and (iii) Bharatiya Lori- Sahitya Kosh.

The primary purpose of education is to allow a student the opportunity to discover her true calling. The student should be able to discover the drumbeat resonating within her heart and then she should be able to march in the external world in rhythm and harmony with that drumbeat.
