Loyola College Chennai

Loyola College is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1925. It is an autonomous institute affiliated with University of Madras. College occupies a 99-acre campus. 

Loyola College offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in different fields like Arts, Science, Commerce and Management Studies. It has 24 undergraduate, 21 postgraduate and 15 PhD programs. The flagship courses include BA, BCom, BSc and MSc.

As of 2021 college serves over 8000 students and has around 350 faculty members. The college has a boys' hostel and a girls' hostel on its campus along with other facilities like a library, gym and auditorium.

Admission to undergraduate courses is based on merit and a screening process is conducted. For media courses candidates must pass Loyola Visual Aptitude Test (LoVAT).

Loyola College is accredited by NAAC with an 'A++' grade. It is recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE. It ranks 7th among top 100 colleges in NIRF ranking for 2023. According to India Today it ranked 3rd overall in 2021.

College has partnerships with 27 institutes globally which help in credit transfer, student/faculty exchange, collaborative research and internship opportunities. 

Loyola College also has a placement cell. In 2023 the highest placement package was INR 10 LPA and the average was INR 4-5 LPA. Regular recruiters include HCL, TCS, Wipro, Amazon, Flipkart, Dell, Google and Microsoft.
