BLDEA's VP Dr.P.G.Halakatti College of Engineering and Technology is a private engineering college in Bijapur in Karnataka. It was established in 1980. College covers an area of 14.9 acres. 

This institute is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) in Belgaum and is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Its UG programs have accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

College offers nine undergraduate programs and research programs in two areas. Programs include Architecture, Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Information Science Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The intake for undergraduate programs is 750 students.

College has an auditorium with a capacity for 500 people an advanced sound system and an LCD projector. Its IT infrastructure includes high-powered servers and a secure network. A central computing lab is also available. Library contains 86,000 volumes and 30,000 titles with three reading rooms that accommodate 125 students. Library subscribes to over 95 technical journals.

College holds accreditation from NBA and NAAC with a B+ grade.

In 2023 college was ranked 37th for B.Tech by TOI. In Times Survey 2020 it was ranked 53rd in All India Ranking and 43rd among Private Colleges. College boasts a placement record with a highest salary package of 24 LPA.
