I can completely vouchsafe for my college's placement cell. As for admissions, I took entry into the B.Tech course in Civil Engineering for which the sole criteria was the CET or COMED-K entrance exams. I took the former and scored 70%.

Global Academy of Technology is one of the best engineering and management colleges in Karnataka. The admission process for engineering students depends on their Karnataka PGCET scores. For Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering the cut was around 40,900.

Fees

Course for B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering is 3.5 lakhs per year for management quota. The fees are less for students getting admission from CET examinations. Scholarships options are available to backward classes and children of defense personnel.

Placements

There is a Training and Placement cell in the college which conducts many useful sessions from the 1st year itself. Computer Science and Engineering students have very good placement record with 12.5 lakhs as the highest package to be offered. Major companies like HP, Mahindra, Accenture and Dell come to the college for jobs. The average salary package is 4 to 5 lakhs.

There is one boys and one girls hostel. There are cheap PG accomodation available near the college. The food is fine and hygienic. 3 people have to share a room. Hostel fees are 85,000 per year.

There are some highly qualified teachers. Overall faculty is very helpful and approachable. There is periodic counselling and the students can go to the faculty outside class to sort out any problems regarding academics.

The college has a very good library which is open all the time and the labs have functional equipment. There is an AC auditorium and wifi facility all over campus and hostel. There are multiple playgrounds for cricket, football, kho-kho and indoor games complex for badminton.

In my college admission to B. Tech is based on criteria laid down by AICTE and KEA and also the Karnataka govt.guidelines. And COMED-K or KCET scores are compulsory.

Our college placement cell arranges pooled campus drives and also helps us to get internships in good companies. About 85% of us get placed through campus interviews. Companies such as Schneider Electric, Accenture, Infosys, TCS, HP, Toyota and ABB have visited and recruited from our campus.

We have really good separate hostels for both boys and girls. We get to choose from both vegetarian and non vegetarian food and the hostel rooms are on twin sharing basis. Our entire campus has wifi and we have extensive sports grounds for cricket, netball etc and we have really excellent coaches. Our college has a huge library. The college provides us with a fleet of buses and that really makes transport easy for us. We have cultural committees which organise various college functions and we also have a nature club and a yoga club.

Global Academy of Technology offers admission on the basis of KCET ranks. The cut off for my course that is CSE was 13800.

Fees

The course fee for B.Tech is pretty expensive i.e around Rs 2,80,000 per year. The college also offers scholarship based on merit and need. Students looking forward to taking loans are also given proper assistance.

Here in GIT, Bangalore companies like HDFC, Honeywell, Oracle etc visit the campus. Training curriculums are conducted for students. Career guidance sessions are also there for some selected students based on companies.

Overall experience at GIT, Bangalore was very good. The faculty is well qualified and there is proper distribution of load between assignments, classes and projects. Classrooms are spacious and furniture is very good.

Separate hostels are available for girls and boys. Hostel rooms are available on sharing based. Many cultural events, brand events and an annual grand fest INTERACT is organized. It has something for everyone. College has a very good library with a good number of text books. I get all my course related books issued from there.
