Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU) Hisar

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) is a public university located in Hisar. It was established in 1970. Campus covers 8,645 acres making it one of largest agricultural universities in Asia. HAU has contributed to significant agricultural advancements during Green and White Revolutions in India.

The university offers different academic programs, including certificates, diplomas, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. Admission is selective and based on entrance examinations. HAU has more than 450 faculty members and operates different research centers across Haryana.

HAU has multiple affiliated colleges. The campus facilities include a library, fitness center, dormitories for boys and girls and sports facilities for many outdoor and indoor sports. 

University accepts scores from national-level entrance exams for its M.B.A and B.Tech programs. It also administers Agricultural Aptitude Test (AAT) for specific agricultural programs. HAU is recognized by University Grants Commission of India and approved by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has accredited its MBA program.

In rankings, university secured 101st place among 200 colleges in India as per NIRF in 2023. HAU collaborates internationally notably with Michigan State University to enhance education and research initiatives.
