Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) is a state university situated in Andhra Pradesh. It aims to provide the best education for the top 1% of the students who have a rural upbringing. Accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Founded in 2008, RGUKT has been a pioneer in developing and shaping the youth of tomorrow. The distinguishing course provided by the university is a six year integrated course B.tech and M.Tech (Computational Engineering) after class X. This consists of a two year Pre University Course followed by a four year engineering course.
With the aim to cater to the educational needs of gifted rural youth of Telangana, RGUKT has come a long way in such a short time. With this institution, it provides an opportunity for those gifted students who shine in what they do.
The admission into the UG and PG courses offered by the University is based on merit. Through, aspirants have to clear a written test and interview for admission.

In order to secure admissions in this university, candidates need to access the application form through the institute’s website. The link for the same is available on the official portal in the respective fields.
How to apply
STEP 1: The candidate must go through the eligibility criteria for the varied courses he/she wishes to apply for. In addition, each instruction must be read carefully prior to filling the online application form.
STEP 2: Accurate information has to be entered in order to proceed with admissions. Firstly, the applicant’s personal details need to be provided, following which the required academic qualifications must also be typed in.
STEP 3: After this, scanned photographs and documents need to be uploaded as per the dimensions specified in the instructions.
STEP 4: A payment of Rs 400 (for General Category) or Rs 300 (for other categories) needs to be made from any nationalized bank via Demand Draft in favor of ‘The Registrar, RGUKT’, payable at Hyderabad.
Admission process:
A printout of the completed application form is required for the remaining part of the admission process. The application form must be attested in the appropriate areas. All relevant documents must be attached with the application form, and the enclosure must be posted to the address mentioned below-

Hostel and Facilities
Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies has a fully residential College with all day to day facilities and fundamental amenities within the campus such as Banks, Hospital, Laundry services, salon and shopping malls.
The institution provides all equipment, facilities and training for indoor and outdoor games such as Football ground, cricket pitch, carrom and gymnasium, while the swimming pool will be made available soon.
The college also conducts several workshops on personality development, industrial training, and soft skill training for the welfare of students. There is a debating club, audio-visual room, where intellectual movies and audio CDs are screened and several other active clubs as a part of extracurricular activities for the students. The healthcare centre of the College is under construction.
The University has a well developed and extensively stocked library with e-books and digital recordings, journals, reference books and periodicals. The Career development and placement cell of the college help students by providing internship and full-time job opportunities.

Entrance Exam
I had appeared for JEE Mains, rank that I secured in was around 66k that helped me get into this University. Once I got admitted I did not have to go through an Interview Process. Since my passion lies in computers, I really wanted to learn more in this field.
Fees
The fee structure is quite affordable in general, which comes to around Rs.80, 000 to Rs.90, 000, and the students who have secured a high rank in the entrance exam get a relaxation in the fees. The fees are inclusive of all expenses and the students are not charged extra money throughout the year.
Placements
Around 75 to 80 percent of the total students get placed in companies like HP, IBM, Google, Bosch, Mahindra, etc. and many other multi-national companies. The average salary package varies from Rs.5 lakhs to Rs.6 lakhs.
Hostel and Facilities
The hostel rooms have the facilities and amenities that make the student’s stay quite comfortable. The rooms have the capacity to accommodate about 2 to 3 students per room. The quality of the food served in the mess has a lot of variety giving the student a chance to choose from non-vegetarian and vegetarian food every day. The total hostel fees, which cover all the costs, come to around Rs.1 lakh.
Alumni
The students have an opportunity to interact with the alumni through interactive communication platforms provided by the University. The alumni have played an important role in the all-round development of the students and the college.
Faculty
The college faculty is highly qualified with a minimum of 20 years of experience in the teaching profession. The teachers are very interactive and have a knack of getting the best out of students through their unique teaching qualities.
Campus Life
The campus is the best place for a student who wishes to participate in extra-curricular activities while paying equal attention to academics. Students from all departments can take part in all the extra-curricular activities like the Annual Sports Meet
Academics
The MBA Course is divided into 4 semesters in which the first three semesters have 6 papers each carrying 24 credits per semester.
Internships
The University provides a number of internships. I have not taken up any internship provided by the University since I am already doing one outside the college. The internship has helped me gain practical knowledge which I wouldn’t have been able to obtain through rote learning. It has increased my interest in the subject. I also receive a stipend of Rs.10, 000 at the end of the term.
Loans and Scholarships
The University gives scholarship to the students belonging to the lower income groups. It also gives loans. I am one of the beneficiaries of these schemes given by the college.
Remarks
Overall its good but they seek money and they impose fines a lot whether its uniform or any other they are strict in these cases. There are a lot of facilities provided by the college
Entrance Exam
I got admission therough my JEE marks. This is the college which has excelled so much in education and has high record of placements with excellent faculty
Fees
The fee of the college was manageable for but i cannot speak for everybody. I do not belong to a very rich family and even for me the fee was affordable. Also the college offers scholarships to deserving students.
Placements
Placements are good but the problem is the strength of students are increased each year causing problem for the placement to many students.Lot of companies come whether they are product or service based companies but due to increase in strength its difficult to manage and dont allow to sit in more then one company if the package is not double
Hostel and Facilities
Though i was not staying in the hostel but i had a few friends who were staying and i dont think they had any issues there other wise they would have mentioned that. i dont think they had any issues there other wise they would have mentioned that. But they always complained about the hostel food.
Alumni
Senior students are always helpful and even after passing out college we all meet with same respect and it is good to old mates and seniors .
Faculty
The faculty of the college is the best i could have asked for. Teachers here are very caring and treat you just like their own child literally
Campus Life
Overall it is very goodLot of facilites are there and still lot are going to be for the comping years. Lot of activites whether technical or non technical or soft skills all are taken care before the placements start.
Academics
u'Exam structure is divided into 3 mid terms of 40 marks and at the end 60 marks.Out of 3 only 2 will be calculated whichever have higher marks and overall out of 100 33 marks are compulsory as passing marks for the exams.Strictness is there for cheating causing expell from college or not allowing to give exam
Internships
No college dont provide internship they instead provide foreign exchange programs with other colleges of different countries for which you need to pay for different exchange programs according to which you wanna go.

They also provide scholarship benefits according to your CGPA marks.
Remarks
Though the managemnet si strcit but that is too for the betterment of the students. Academics are good well faculty for teaching having a more than fifteen plus years experience. The campus placement were also very satisfactory from my end.

During my time, the government provided 80% of the fee for academic and for hostel.. Remaining amount I paid at the end of my graduation.Actually fee for academic and hostel was forty thousand rupees for annul. So this great opportunity for middle class families, so I really availed this opportunity.
Placements
Our university got many placements from software companies like TCS, infosys, wipro, and many more, but I belong to mechanical engineering so I didn't attend for these still I am searching for government core job.In my college half the students got selected for the campus placements.
Hostel and Facilities
My hostel provided us a world class facilities with neat and new cots, beds and very cleaned bathrooms. Coming to my mess, it offered us meals like our home meals and with different curries every time and gave great facilities to entire students of the university.
Alumni
I have gud experience with my seniours frankly no ragging in my college. In my branch seniors are always support us and clarified many doubts and gave many valuable suggestions.
Faculty
Most fo my faculty was IIT alumni, so they are very knowledgeable persons and taught us with effective, efficient and clear picture view. Our teaching is learning by doing, it is adopted from western countries, it is some what great experience, and faculty was simply superb.
Campus Life
The gender ratio of the college is almost the same with equal number of boys and girls which is a great thing. Other facilities- labs are nice with well equipment, gud circullum for debates, recently launched robotics lab, conducting yearly a national level fests and inviting all engineering college srudents for showcasing their talent.
Academics
Entire exam system is online mode. Completely different from all universities in our state. For 70% of questions we have to answer in online and 30% in offline mode. This easy for management and some what difficult for us because question gave us some what difficult type of questions.
Internships
Yes, Our college provided summer internship once you are done with your third year. I also did it I ;learned a lot there about my field and its functioning and importance. Though no stipend was offered during my time.
Loans and Scholarships
I joined in government college, so most of the fee of my academic and hostel was arranged by government. So government gave me the scholarship that was enough for the entire fee. Also there is a SBI bank branch in the college itself if you want any financial help you can contact them.
Remarks
The infra and facilities of the college was one of the major reasons of opting this college but you should also consider other factors like internship, placement, ROI etc. labs and classrooms well equipped with the advanced laboratory kits. The classrooms have modern facilities and faculty have also started teaching with projectors so it has some come a long way.
Entrance Exam
My selection was just based on my marks and i did not had to give any entrance test. I chose this as i was recommended this by my brother who is also a product of this university and told me it is good and so i took admission here.
Fees
As a government sponsored university, the tuition fees here are highly subsidized by the AP government. For four year Btech,40000 per year. This includes tuition, lodging and boarding.
Placements
In case of placements it lagged for sometime. Now I hared that It picked up. Improved. All major companies visited. Every one is talented here. That results in good packages and good placements. The placement number during my time was just over 70%
Hostel and Facilities
There ws no hostel during my time. Non local students used to stay in rented rooms near the college. The rent they had paid varied as per the facility they had chosen for.
Alumni
Alumni network was recently started. With alumini network we are in touch with our friends and seniors. Senior students are very friendly with juniors. They advises to the juniors and those are very helpful.
Faculty
'Most of the faculty are Mtech from IITs. Since the course is learning by doing, Faculty will be less important. According to me, They have a lot of knowledge from my end and also helped me the most to learn important concepts and also grow as a person. They have also acted as career counsellors to me at times.
Campus Life
Campus life so good and pleasant. We enjoyed the campus life lot. In extracurricular activities student will participated in NCC, sports, volunteers for for programs conducted in college. Labs are good. Some of the popular played sports include Crikcet, volleyball, kabadi etc.
Academics
Exam structure was very good. In exam paper 60 marks are bits and 40 marks are questions are given. They are very strict with students who are caught copying. Also, make sure you maintain a good attendance here.
Internships
No internship from college. We have to find out by ourselves. You will given 3 months to go out and do internship. It's your choice of going to any company. The college will help you out in all ways possible.

Scholarship in the sense we get fee reimbursement. If any student who's parents annual income was above 1lack they have to pay college fee. If they are unable to pay college wll provide loan facility. And when they got job on that time they clear the loan.
