Narasaraopeta Engineering College was established in 1998 and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinda. Located in the suburban regions of Narasaraopet, Gayatri Educational Development Society sponsors its expenses.

NEC offers 5 undergraduate and 10 post graduate courses, along with the department of basic sciences and humanities. Some of its courses include:

Admissions into Bachelor’s courses follow the eligibility criteria of a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2; cut-off marks for Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) are then considered.

The campus sprawls over 40 acres of land comprising 31,362 square metres of constructed space. Hostel accommodation is provided to male and female students (girls hostel is situated within campus).

Dietary requirements are fulfilled by a canteen; mess facilities provide for the hostel inmates’ meals. A central library, 6 departmental libraries and internet connection are available with the campus.

Application and Admission Procedure

HOW TO APPLY:

A minimum of 50% marks in intermediate with Physics, Chemistry and Maths is required for admission to under graduate courses. For post graduate courses a minimum of 50% is required in graduation. The application process is as follows:

OFFLINE MODE: The application forms are available at the campus, the fees for which may vary each year.

ONLINE MODE: Candidates can also fill up the online application form and the fees shall be paid through e-banking system or through debit/credit card.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

Admission to the institute is granted strictly on merit basis. For admission to under graduate courses the candidate must have appeared for AP-EAMCET and for post-graduation courses the candidate must have qualified GATE.

There is no interview round for entrance in under graduate courses.
