Visakha Institute Of Engineering And Technology (VIET) Visakhapatnam

The Visakha Institute of Engineering and Technology (VIET) is a private engineering college in Narava, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Institute was founded in 2008 by Varaha Lakshmi Narashima Swamy Educational Trust. Campus covers an area of 20 acres. VIET is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada.

VIET offers diploma undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Diploma courses include Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Undergraduate programs offer B.Tech in different specializations like Computer Science, Electrical and Communication Engineering and Cyber Security. Postgraduate courses include M.Tech and MBA.

Total number of student is over 1500. There are more than 150 faculty members many of whom are M.Tech and IIT graduates. 

The institute features a centralized A/C library with a collection of 17854 books and a seating capacity for over 150 students. It also provides transportation facilities.

Admissions for B.Tech and M.Tech programs are based on Engineering Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET). Admission to MBA program requires Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET). 

Placements - The institute has hosted placement drives with companies like TCS and Infosys. In the 2021-22 placement drive about 255 students were placed.
