Vishnu Institute Of Technology (VISHNU) West Godavari

Founded in 2008, the institute is permanently affiliated to JNTU Kakinada , approved by AICTE and accredited by NBA and NAAC. NIT Tiruchirapalli awarded it the distinguished alumnus award for “Excellence in service to society at large” in 2014 and was awarded the IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award in 2011.

The institute offers B. Tech courses in –Electronics and communication engineering, Computer Science and engineering, Electrical and electronics engineering, Information Technology, Civil engineering and Mechanical engineering.

It also offers M. Tech courses in- Computer Science and engineering, Electrical and electronics engineering, Electronics and communication engineering and Mechanical engineering. The institute also offers a two year MBA program.

Institute amenities:- The institute provides a wide range of facilities for the students. Well maintained hostels with an exclusive block for girls is provided. They are accompanied by the mess and air conditioned dining halls. The institute has two air conditioned auditoriums.

Other facilities include- TV cum reading room in the hostels, facilities for both indoor and outdoor games, medical help, college canteen, a temple square with a bakery and food court, Xerox facilities, a lake view court, SBI and Indian Bank ATMs on campus, waiting hall for parents of the students and the renowned Higginbotham bookstore on campus.

The institute arranges special foreign language courses for its B. Tech and MBA students in languages such as German and Spanish. The institute also regularly arranges industrial visits, training workshops, entrepreneurship development programs and guest lectures to equip the students with all necessary practical knowledge and skills.

Moreover training is given for students who are to appear for the GATE, GRE, TOEFL and GMAT examinations.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

This college has separate boys hostel and girl’s hostel. Though it provides hostel facility only to the outsider students.

All the rooms are spacious, well-furnished and have access to all basic amenities like round the clock water, electricity and internet. Every room has attached bathroom.

The entire college campus is divided into some blocks. Each block has a separate reading room. The reading rooms have cable TV connection. In the reading room, the students can access the newspaper, magazines and periodicals.

The hostels have mess service. The hostel mess has attached kitchen and dining hall.

Campus facilities

This college has awesome other facilities like an extensive library, auditorium, swimming pool. There is an indoor stadium for table tennis and an outdoor stadium for volleyball, khoko khoko, basketball, football.

The students form many clubs like a Cultural club, English club, Astronomic Club etc.

It also arranges several cultural events like college fest. throughout the year.
