St. Joseph College of Communication (SJCC) Kurisummoodu, Changanacherry began operations in 2004. It is the first university-affiliated media college in South India. SJCC is a Christian minority institute. It is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

SJCC provides many media and communication courses. It offers Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Multimedia, Animation, Graphic Design, Cinema & Television, Print and Electronic Journalism, Visual Arts, Visual Effects and Audiography & Digital Editing.

SJCC serves over 800 students in 6 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate courses. It also has 40+ faculty members. Student-to-teacher ratio is 1-13.

The college facilities include a Stop Motion Studio, 2D Animation Lab, MV Cinemas, Radio Media Village and different studios for different media forms.
