NRI Institute of Technology is located in Agiripalli Mandel. It is an autonomous engineering college established in 2008. The founding body is the Sri Durga Malleswara Educational Society. Campus covers an area of 20 acres.

This private, unaided institute is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada. It has approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited it with an 'A' grade.

NRI Institute of Technology offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The undergraduate programs include B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and a specialized B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Postgraduate programs (M.Tech) include Thermal Engineering, Structural Engineering, Digital Electronics and Communication Systems, Computer Science and Engineering and Power Electronics and Drives. The institute also provides an MBA degree.

The institute enrolls 3000 students and employs 250+ faculty members. It features well-equipped laboratories, a central library, computer labs, furnished classrooms, seminar halls, workshops, a gym, hostels, sports facilities and an auditorium.

Admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate programs depend on state-level common entrance tests conducted by Government of Andhra Pradesh. The entrance test for undergraduate programs is EAMCET/ECET. For postgraduate programs ICET is entrance test for MBA/MCA courses and PGECET for M.Tech programs.

NRI Institute of Technology has received many accreditations. Its CSE EEE and ECE undergraduate programs have NBA accreditation. It has permanent affiliation with JNTUK, Kakinada.
