Santosh University is a deemed university established in 1995 by Mr Parmasivam Mahalingam. It is well known for its medical and dental courses. It was affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh before it was accredited with ‘Deemed University‘ status by the MHRD.
The University is located in Ghaziabad (NCR), Uttar Pradesh. It campus consists of Auditorium, common rooms, lecture theatre, demonstration halls, laboratories, health centers, library, canteen, animal house and various recreational facilities.
The University offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, PG diploma and doctorate programs in fields of medical and dental. The admission into the courses in based on basic class 12th clearance followed by passing National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET).

Application and Admission Procedure
How to apply-
Candidates need not apply separately for admission in Santosh University. Admissions to the university are done through UG NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test).For the test, the students can apply through the online mode..
- To apply for NEET, visit the official website of the exam. .
- Fill in the required details and upload your photograph and signature
- Application fees are Rs 1400/- for general and Rs.750/- for SC/ST. It can be paid via Net Banking/UPI or E-wallet.
Admission procedure-
Santosh University is available as a choice in ‘choice filling’ procedure through NEET. NEET counseling would be announced by medical counseling committee.
To fill choices candidates have to visit www.mcc.nic.in and the code for (Santosh Medical College & Hospital) is Code UP01 and for (Santosh Dental College & Hospital) is Code DUP1.

The University is spread over an area of 307,164 square meters. The campus provides various facilities like library, laboratory, auditorium, pharmaco vigilance centre, hostel, residential quarters, canteen, medical facilities, sports and recreational centre.
Hostel
- The hostel facility is available for both boys and girls. There are separate blocks for boys, girls and staff.
- Facilities available in the hostel– Students are provided with various facilities in the hostel like high level security, internet connectivity, recreation rooms, common rooms, medical centre and canteen.

- No scholarship is provided by the college.

Remarks
The campus of the college is decent and the people are also good. Just the fee of the college is very high as compared to the reputation of the college. The management is a bit strict and discipline. The seniors are very supportive especially during the exam time.
Entrance Exam
If you want admission into any of the UG program, the admission is through NEET UG Entrace Test. The test is the same for all over India and its consists of subject physics, chemistry, zoology and botany. For student who want to get into PG programs need to have NEET PG score and for PHD admission you should have PG in relevant field and have to clear the college entrance test and interview.
Fees
The college fee is very expensive. For BDS course students have to pay around 17 lakhs for the whole course that is of 5 years. It is very difficult for the fresher to have quick ROI on such a large amount. The fee for the PG is also very high.
Placements
Because of a string alumni network many renowned and reputed medical institutions, research institutes come for placement. The college also college takes you in as a professor once you complete your PhD for this you have to be very meticulous in your education. Students also go on to open their own clinic. The return there is sizeable.
Hostel and Facilities
Our university has in an in-house campus hostel facilities for boys and girls who wish to avail. Some The professors also stay in the college campuses. The hostel has good facilities like WiFi, nearby gym and food is excellent. The hostel is decent and food is excellent.
Alumni
The college has been in existence for a long time so it has a very strong alumni base. Many of the alumni work for many research institutes both nationally and internationally. They do come to share their journey and also help us with our journey in santosh. Many of the alumni are spread across the world and have a name for themselves and of Santosh in many research institutes, healthcare institutes and many international hospitals
Faculty
The Faculties are all experienced in their respective departments. Though the student faculty ratio is quite big. The management should add more faculties. They have educational qualification from renowned colleges across the country and have a lot of experience too. They give their valuable feedback on our research papers
Campus Life
The college provides a state of the art laboratory, auditorium, canteen and gym. The college has a in-house hostel inside the main campus too. The college has a lot of facilities for its students as well as its patients. It is one of the best in the city and state. Our campus has a lot of lecture theaters also It has an excellent Library, which consists of various journals, books.
Academics
Exam structure is very hectic and tight, hardly any time for any entertainment. The curriculum is quite strict in the form of class timings and we have classes round the year. If you want to score well you'll have to push your limits. The faculty is very helpful during the exam time and are even available after college timings.
Internships
The internship provided by the College is average and you can also get Internship via your own contacts. The general stipend range from 5,000 to 10,000 for us BDS and MBBS students. I think its better to have some references in some top hospital better if govt hospital, this will give you a lot of exposure.
Loans and Scholarships
As the amount of fee is so high you can go ahead and take loan and you will get it easily. As far as scholarships are concerned, there is no scholarship from the management. This is the worst part, the management should do something about this.
Remarks
The college has a great alumni base along with some very experienced faculties. But infra of the college is pretty average. Though if are a hardworking students the college is great place for personal groth and exposure.
Entrance Exam
For admission into the pg course, you have to clear the entrance test of the university itself. There is no interview. But for admission into any of the research program you have to clear the aptitude test as well as appear for an interview.
Fees
The fee at santosh is quite expensive but I think that the case of every pvt medical college. The fee for the diploma program is around 14 lakhs for the whole course and for the pg program its again 14 lakhs for the whole course. The only difference is that diploma is a 2 years and pg degree is of 3 years.
Placements
There are a number of options for students once they are done with their PG. They can either go for be recruited with research institute or open their own clinic and practice. The college also gives the option to join the college as junior faculties.
Hostel and Facilities
The college provides girls and boys hostel. The hostel is just next to the campus and thus students don’t have to travel. The rooms are decent and spacious. The food of the mess is alright. There are also a number of PG’s at affordable rates near the hostel. Students can also go for them.

The alumni base of the college is pretty strong they come in regularly for seminars and lectures. Also, as they are placed in top institutions across the world, a lot of companies even come for recruitment bcoz of the alumni recommendations.
Faculty
Most of the faculties are from top college and have over 20 years of teaching experience. As the course curriculum is very tough and hectic they try to make it as simplified as they can. You should maintain a good attendance if you want to in their good books.

Some of the facilities provided by the college are library, gym, canteen, labs etc. Though there are not many events happening since it is a medical college there is an annual fest of 3 days.
Academics
The exam schedule is very hectic though the number of exam are small. Though the faculty is very supportive and tries to finish the syllabus on time so that the students have enough time to study and give exams. Classes are always on time.
Internships
The students UG students are supposed to internship at the college itself for PG students they can go out and do internships with research institutions, patient care and medical institutes. They are even paid stipend.
Loans and Scholarships
Since the fee amount is pretty good the students can take education loans from pvt or govt banks. There is no provision of scholarship.
Remarks
The college has all the basic faculties, the infrastructure is average but mostly importantly its has a very strong alumni network. Though they try to get more faculty to get better students. And to top that they try to improve us in every step of our career and life.
Entrance Exam
For PHd and diploma course you get in by clearing the santosh university entrance test. The entrance test was a MCQ based test on general nature to test the aptitude of the candidates. The entrance test is quite easy and you can crack it with ease. For UG and PG the scores of NNET UG and NEET PG respectively are accepted and fro PG admission you should also have bachelors in similar field.
Fees
The fee structure in Santosh University is quite high. For diploma program the fee is Rs 7 lakhs and for MDS the fee is around 15 lakhs. The college does not provide any scholarship.
Placements
The university has tie up with some institutes, some medical institutes also come for placements thanks for our seniors. You can go for your own clinic. Although the College offers a chance to join them as a faculty if you are great in academics.

There is a separate hostel for girls and boys in the campus itself. The hostel facilities are average and the food is okay but not that great. Though its your choice but I would recommend you to take a PG in the nearby area its not that expensive and there are no restrictions as well.
Alumni
It is only due to alumni network that a lot of medical institutes come in for placements. Alumni network which is spread all across the globe and not just India. Some alumni also come for guest lectures. They bridge the gabs between the students and our practical journey by letting us know the practical aspects of the industry and how it works. .
Faculty
The faculty is good but there are very few of them the college should bring more of them. Still they are very learned and have a lot of experience. All of them help us out irrespective of their domains.
Campus Life
The campus life is ok and being a medical college not a lot of events and other things happens here. Actually we have a very hectic schedule and thus dont get enough time for extra curricular activities too.
Academics
The faculty tries to complete the syllabus before time so Students get enough time to study their doubt and eventually score good marks in the exams. Exam structure is quite relaxed since utmost importance is given to learning via practice
Internships
The internship system is average in the college. The college provides Internship for the BDS, MBBS and PG students. You can find a good place to learn and harness you skill does it and to keep hopes high of getting a good Internship from college.

The college doesn't provide scholarships to its students but you will get loan easily from the banks as the fee is very high.
